Good Deal or Not? 2016 X5 "Courtesy Vehicle"

Long time lurker, first time poster B)

Got an offer for a 2016 X5 that has been used as a dealer Courtesy Vehicle and not sure if I should push harder for a better deal.

Specs:

2016 Black Sapphire Metallic 2016 BMW X5 xDrive35i
Black Dakota Leather
Fineline Pure Wood Trim
Cold Weather Package
Driver Assistance Package
Premium Package
Rear manual side window shades

The vehicle has a MSRP of $62,500 and ~1,400 miles on it. The dealer has made an initial offer of $55,600 + tax, title, etc...

Should I expect a better deal or is this similar to what others have seen?

    I missed something trying to build it (my MSRP is $63,295). On that one, TMV is ~$3,000 under MSRP.

    Your offer looks like it's $6,000+ under MSRP and I'm guessing about $3,000 below invoice.

    I don't like the idea of buying loaners (dealers seem to want too much money for them). My sister just got a last year's Subaru demo and she paid too close to invoice I thought for a year old car.

    But -- this one is low miles and is the "right" model year, being a 2016.

    Looks good from here.

    Tell him to reduce 3000 further and see if he does it. His offer is just the starting point.

    See "dealers seem to want too much money for them".

    Dunno - I usually do fifty cents a mile for a demo deduction, and that's only $700. If that was the offer, I'd go new. But the numbers seem quite a bit better in this case.

    But sure, making a counter-offer doesn't cost anything.

    The miles are really too few for you to drive too hard a bargain, and being a 2016, it won't suffer any more than the "normal" depreciation of any 2016 with 0 miles on it.

    If Steve's numbers are accurate (based on what you've told us), then it does look good.

    Why buy a "used" new X5 costing 62k for a few dollars less ?
    If you cant afford new then 700$ -- $3000 less is really stupid : B)

    I am going out to check a $100k, Porche 911 for $5k less ! LOL

    This demo appears to be more like $6,000 less. 10% is not a bad "discount".

    Well he could shop it elsewhere and see if he can get another dealer to match the price on a "new" one---.
