Hi - I have a GLE 300d on order with a dealership. They have been running some lease figures for me, which seemed high and it turns out they are using a MF of .0026. I realize this vehicle is at the standard MF, but how off market is .0026?

    Thanks for any input.

We think the standard MF from MBFS is between .00200 and .00220, so it's marked up.

It's a popular vehicle, so supply and demand are at play here.

  • I am wondering if anyone can help me understand the nuances of leasing a GLE350 4matic in Chicago. I follow the leasing numbers. I do not follow the Illinois and Chicago taxes that need to be added in. As an example:
    MSRP $66300
    Negotiated $62300
    - $2000 incentive
    Money Factor .00104
    54% Residual=36034
pre tax monthly payment of 763.16
Use tax in Chicago adds an additional $55 a month
Sales Tax as of January 2015 is now taken on the lease amount monthly + the down payment instead of the total sale price. This would be an additional $62 in Cook County, IL or $2300.
If those numbers are all correct I get a monthly payment of $880 with taxes. Are there any other hidden Cook County/Chicago/Illinois taxes that I am missing? Do my numbers sound appropriate? I appreciate the help.

    I get closer to $900/mo.

But, you have the concept right.. Illinois taxes the sum of payments, and collects it upfront (you can add it to the CAP cost, if you like), then Chicago taxes the monthly payment...

    That's a lot of tax..

    Hi,

Do we have the March MF and residuals for GLE 350 24 and 36 months, 10/12/15k miles?

Also, what kind of discounts can I expect for custom order on MSRP?

    .00104 MF and 62%/54% residual for 15K/yr

    Add 2% for 12K/yr or 3% for 15K/yr

    No clue on transaction prices

Standard MF and 55% for 36/12.

Using your prices, I get between $971 and $992/mo before tax. This is assuming $0 due at signing and the selling price is the net cap cost.

Find out what the $3000 at signing covers.

    What state and tax rate?

  • I'm in the market for an SUV, considering the BMW X6M and the GLE450 or GLE53 S. Sorry if this is a rudimentary question, but is it a given that the dealerships will markup the MF for "in-demand" cars, like the GLE450? I'm reading this thread and the GLE300 MF is .0010-ish and GLE450 is up to .0016? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's a given that almost every BMW and Mercedes dealer will attempt to mark up the money factor for extra profit. It's just one more thing to negotiate.

Please confirm the residual and MF for a GLE350 4Matic lease - 36 months/10k miles is .00104 and 57%. Also, I noticed the lease programs on mbusa.com for the GLE has a suggested dealer contribution deducted from the MSRP. Do you have any detailed info on this? Thanks in advance.

So I went to the dealer yesterday and this is the offer I got:

    2016 GLE 350 4Matic
    MSRP $60,295
    36 month/7,500 miles
$3,000 out of pocket due at signing (includes 1st month payment)
$700/mo includes NYS taxes (8.875%), acquisition fee, DMV fees

They're also paying off the balance of my current car with a bad car fax (1 accident). Not sure if that matters but I don't believe the car has equity unless I do a private sale which I really don't prefer. I consider it an advantage for me that they're paying off the balance. The car is a 2011 X5 and out of warranty.

So would you consider this a fair deal? I don't know the adjusted capital cost but I do know the dealer invoice is $56,871 and the acquisition fee is $795 if that helps. Thanks.

NY sales tax is rolled into and included in the $700 monthly payment.
