Electrical problems/door module

After 20 months of owning my NEW 2014 Dodge Ram, the electrical system went completely dark. It was traced to a door module that was defective. The mechanic said it was the third design of this part. That leads me to believe that Dodge knows this is a problem, but will take no responsibility for any of the repair cost. ($875.00) Anybody else have this, or a similar, problem?

You have a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty on this vehicle. Why wasn't this repair covered?

From Chrysler's warranty handbook for the 3 year/36 month Limited Warranty on your truck:

" What’s Covered--- The Basic Limited Warranty covers the cost of all parts
and labor needed to repair any item on your vehicle
when it left the manufacturing plant that is defective in
material, workmanship or factory preparation. There is
no list of covered parts since the only exception are tires
    and Unwired headphones"

Mr_Shiftright- Yeah, my bad. I should have mentioned that I drive a lot and have 58,000 miles on my truck. Now what?
