Your 2013 911 Cab was not an S...it was just a Carrera Cab.

And save your disdain for turbo engines that run out of breath early for turbo engines that actually do that - this new 340i will rev to 7,400 rpm and make more horsepower all the way.

That this new 340i xDrive can do the quarter in 12.7 @ 108.3 is amazing and ridiculous at the same time. That is a seriously quick E.T. that 99% of the old muscle cars couldn't dream of doing stock. Awesome stuff.

That is pretty shocking. I still think the F30 is hugely disappointing overall and I certainly wouldn't buy one, but at least BMW can still make world-class powertrains.

"but the way a car actually feels and drives tells a far more important story."

Yes, it would be nice to hear about that. Preferably before talking about the sunshades, or if the bike will fit, or if your phone connects easily, or..

I've had my fun with the handling-over-pure-power department -- 2011 RX-8 R3 for 5 perfectly reliable years. I just traded it for a 340i xDrive. The $64k sticker has nothing to do with final sale price. I was hoping for the S6, but you can't get a penny off that thing in New England. And I was able to get the 340 with a stick! Impossible with the S6 of course.
