Would like your thoughts on a lease deal I just completed for a 2016 TLX 4 cyl + Tech Package 36 month lease at 12K miles per year. Put down $569 which included first month payment. The monthly payment is $370 total (taxes included, NYS). The sticker price was $35,750. Per the lease agreement, the "agreed upon value of the vehicle" was $31454 and the "gross capitalized cost" was $33029.
    Thanks

Hi I am looking for the MF and residual on a 2016 Acura TLX 3.5LV6 SH-AWD w a Tech Package for 36 months at 10K at year in CT.
I have the MSRP at 42515 and was also wondering if there are any leasing incentives right now.

I am guessing around 440.00 a month with around 950 down with first month, security deposit and DVM transfer fees. Does that sound right? Also does Acura allow you to do multiple security deposits and if so how much does it affect the MF?

Sorry for so many questions but I am really trying to do my homework.

    Thanks

    .00070 and 57% for 36/10. $2000 lease cash available.

Would need to know the adjusted capitalized cost in order to run a payment for you.

    No MSD program for Acura.

So a dealer advertised a base TLX for 2995 down and 185 a month 36/10k. I asked to convert it to a 0 down lease and they are telling me the payment is $326 a month. I ran the numbers and get about $270?

$3000, if all of it used as cap reduction, is about $84/mo. So, your assumption of $270/mo would be correct.

Best to get the adjusted cap cost from the dealer and run the numbers yourself. Might be other costs added in that gets the dealer to the $326 payment.

The advertisment was probably for "$2995 down, plus fees and first payment". So, add in the $595 acquisition fee, dealer fees, and also your first payment.. along with tax, and it gets up there pretty quick.

Hard to base a deal off an advertisement. Once you start asking for real numbers, it becomes pretty clear that the ad is just a come on.

    The fees are being paid up front so they shouldn't factor into the monthly payment. As far as I can reverse engineer the ad;

    Mrsp - 32635
    Selling Price - 29800
Money down (2000 lease cash and 2995 down) - 4995
    Residual 59%
    Money Factor .0007
    Payment 185
    36/10k

It seems like they removed the lease cash when quoting me the 0 down lease of $325.

The lease cash is a dealer incentive. Any price they give you will already include it.

At this point all I know Is 2995 down, 185 a month, 32635 Mrsp. I wasn't provided the selling price I backed into it using Res 59% MF .0007 and lease cash 2000.

My main point I guess is I don't understand how 2995 down 185/month turns into 0 down 325/month. Obviously the 2995 down 185/month is the way better deal.

The national ad, or if this is a dealer's ad, does not include tax, DMV, dealer and other fees. Not putting down the 2995 adds about $84 to the payment. I think you will find the other fees will easily account for the other $55.

Those other fees are paid up front not in a monthly payment regardless of whether I put 2995 down or not.

If you intend to lease the exact model/msrp as advertised and not put the $2995 down but pay all the other fees up front, your payment should be somewhere around 270.

I recommend you educate yourself on how leases are structured/calculated - that would probably clear up much of your confusion.

I'm guessing the $2000 lease cash is already baked into the original quoted figures.

Little condescending no? I'm glad you concur with my previous calculation, lol. Obviously the lease cash explains the delta between 270 and 325. My confusion was facetious. They were hoping I wouldn't notice the disappearance of the lease cash when I had them change the structure of the lease.

Wasn't trying to be condescending at all - sorry if you took it that way. Was just trying to help sort out the numbers confusion that seemed to exist. I'll go stand in the corner now.

Good luck on the lease. Beware of the national ads and/or dealer ads - they all state a specific msrp example and usually have additional charges/fees in small print that add to the lower advertised payment.

No worries, I may have taken offence at nothing, its tough to detect a persons tone on the net sometimes.

The dealer has been all over the place, lol. On Sunday the lease was $325/month 0 down, on Tuesday $380/month 0 down, and now its back to $325/month 0 down. Unfortunately they dont seem to want to give me concrete numbers without driving out to the dealership.

May I suggest you introduce a little competition to the process? Reach out to other dealers and see what kind of offers you get. Unlikely that your original dealer will compete with themselves...

Got a quote of $299/mo. 36m/10K miles on a 2016 TLX 2.4 Tech. Dealer says sale price is $31604 and net cap cost (including TTL) is $34416. They're saying the MF is 0.00070. I'd need to put about $4600 down. Sound about right? Good deal?

    $35750
The money down is to make for an attractive payment - $299/mo

Find out how much of it is for up front fees and taxes and how much is cap cost reduction.

Leaving $2300 for cap reduction, or about $60-65/mo.

Best to just pay the fees initially, and use the rest to augment the higher payment.

    TLX V6 Advance FWD

36/15k -- (I might be asking this over the next couple months until we strike a good deal - They do need a new car, but not urgently, they are willing to wait for a great deal, like the one I got last November)

No eligibility on lease cash; just use the knowledge of it to get your best price.

    Hi There,

I see that you have posted residual values and money factors for several cities throughout the U.S., but they seem to vary greatly depending on location.

Can you please provide the residual value, money factor and any lease cash/incentives in Chicago, IL for a 36/12 lease on a 2.4 Base and 2.4 Tech?

    Thanks!

i just leased a 2016 Acura TLX 3.5 SH-AWD with technology package with a MSRP of $42,515. the deal was a pull ahead deal, where they waived the last 3 payments of my current acura lease and rolled over about 6,000 unused miles as well. For a 7,500 per year lease and $1,000 drive off, the payments are $360 with tax (at 9%) per month for 35 months, as the drive off included 1st month, registration. their was a $595 acquisition fee included as part of the deal. As others have mentioned a $1000 cap cost reduction was included from Acura as part of the loyalty deal. The car had a capitalized cost of $34,640
residual is 57% and money factor is .0007
car also included body side molding and front and rear splash guards. or about $600 of accessories that they threw in for no additional cost.

i also had the deal to lease a 2.4 tech with a MSRP of $36,690 for $310 a month with tax and $800 driveoff as well, but choose the other one as i preferred the larger engine and AWD.

Both were aggressive deals, but i would check and see dealerships with a large inventory of TLX's and negotiate as they all know the 2017 are coming in a about 6 - 8 weeks, also my car was on the lot for 70 days,

My previous lease was a 2014 Acura RLX for 10K miles a year with a MSRP of $55,540 and a cap cost of $41,000. Driveoff was $939 and monthly was $439 with tax for 35 months. My conversation with AFS in Dallas last week confirmed that this was a great deal, as they said it the most aggressive they had ever seen!

Being in Southern California, deals tend to be more aggressive due to the sheer number of acura dealers with a tight radios
