Thank you! So, it looks like the residual went down 1% from last month, but the MF went down as well - impact on monthly payment this month vs. last month is minimal which is good. Thanks again for the quick reply. I appreciate it!

Thanks for your help. This really is invaluable tool when negotiating. Looking into a A4 Quattro Premium Plus with some add ons for 36/10. Around 50k MSRP down to to 45,500 out of door. If you could give me RS and MF I would really appreciate it. Are you aware of any incentive for Audi leases in Georgia in July or August? Thank you.
  • omakad16omakad16 Member Posts: 13
Does number of miles selected for the lease impacts RS and MF? And how much? I drive less then 5k per year, but I'm still thinking about getting a 12k lease just in case. If I go for 10k or 7.5k lease (besides paying for extra miles cost) will that make any major impact on my payment. Thanks.

Add 1% to the residual to go from 10K to 7.5K; subtract 1% to go from 10K to 12K

    MF stays the same.

Hi Michael. I see the $750 loyalty you mentioned a few times. So, we negotiate a price for the car and then Audi of America gives you a $750 rebate on top of that selling?
  • cps2010cps2010 Member Posts: 6
I can't seem to find that $750 loyalty mentioned anywhere. Not on Audi's site or on the Edmunds Incentives page.

    Hi Micheaell,

I did a BTO on a 2017 A4 Prestige 2.0T Quattro S and it arrives next week or the first week of August.

We settled on a sales price of $50,565 ($54,565 MSRP) with a few small accessories, +$950 delivery and +$489 fees.

I am located in Oregon, so no sales tax.

What are the current lease rates (MF) per term length (months) at 12k and 15k miles? Please include residual value & percentage.

Are there current promotions available for lease or purchase?

Will any of this change August 1st, or are the rates and promotions set quarterly?

My understanding is that the MF and residual value can't be negotiated – is this correct?

My goal is to walk in to pick up the car and know what to expect.

    Thank you!

The loyalty incentive only applies if you have a 2001 or newer Audi in the household.

Can't tell you why you don't see it .. it's in the documents I have (which are confidential).

    .00079 and 52% (36/15); add 2% for 12K.

Residual is calculated against the total MSRP - bottom line number of the window sticker.

Only incentive we see is a $750 loyalty incentive.

Current Audi numbers expire on 8/1.

There are often incentives for purchase that don't exist for a lease.

MF can be marked up by the dealer for more profit; residual is set by the bank.

It's FWD, the $5000 is down payment only I guess.

My using your MF and RV value, what should the monthly payment be by $0 down?

    Hi,
Should I expect Audi's 2017 A4 to lease against a 2016 3 Series BMW? The quotes I am getting are as much as 200-300 more per month or similarly priced vehicle (within 1000 dollars). The sad thing is I prefer the Audi by a large margin but, I can't seem to even get dealers to get back to me with lease number here in NH and MA.

The BMW has much higher residuals, so even though the money factor is higher, they lease out cheaper. In general, you don't see many good lease deals on Audis

    Premium Plus FWD 36/12 - .00034 and 56%

We do not recommend making a down payment of any size on a lease; if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

That said, there are some unavoidable up front costs with a lease - bank fee, dealer fee, first payment, DMV costs.

Assuming $0 down and using the MSRP and net cap cost you've provided, your pre-tax payment is $486/mo.

    Hi all,

I'm considering a 36/10 lease on a Premium Plus Quattro (First Edition). My local dealer in PA confirmed the 0.00079 MF but I was skeptical on the answers to two more questions. Turning here for some feedback.

    1) I was told there was a max of 5 MSDs allowed. I thought I had read that the max was 9. Is there a standard max # of MSDs?
    2) I was told that a single pay/one pay lease would use the same MF of 0.00079. I was assuming there would be a discount for this type of lease. Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks so much in advance!

Those are good questions. Haven't had any anecdotal reports lately, but I'd be surprised about either of those. Did they say what the reduction was per security deposit?

Adding delivery, fees and $795 acquisition fee to the price, $743/$713 per month, with 1st payment due at signing. Adding a $5000 CAP reduction would subtract $143/mo.

Dealer is trying to give me the same run-around on the BTO Prestige Quattro I commented about yesterday. I told them they were crazy if they thought I was going to pay their insane rate when going was .00079. He said "they'd have to get back to me". Game on!

Good news. I got info from a 2nd dealer that matched my expectations based on my Internet research. 9 MSDs at 0.0005 apiece to get down to 0.00034 or a drop to 0.00005 for a one pay lease.

    42 months
    MSRP: $42,635
    Price: $36,327
    Residual: 52%
    MF: .00099

$520/m only make 1st payment at signing no other $ down.

They are taking my existing lease on an audi w/1 month left at $505. I have $600 in minor repairs that I am not sure how to handle. Can you negotiate that with Audi if you buy another audi? They are such minor things like hook marks from rocks hitting it on the highway. About a dozen of those they priced at $300 and a cracked front fender @ $300.

    How are these numbers:

    2017 A4 Quattro w/AudiCare
    15,000 miles
    42 months
    MSRP: $42,635
    Price: $36,327
    Residual: 52%
    MF: .00099

Using your numbers, as is, I get $395/mo before tax.

You need to find out what the adjusted cap cost is, if you are rolling in all the taxes and fees. My guess is that the damage and last payment are being added in, as well.

I asked for it and this was their response:

the numbers I am giving you are the actual real numbers that any Audi dealer goes by. Idk what Edmunds is telling you but that is false. The cap cost is the selling price which is $36,327. Like I said you can shop these numbers around to any dealer and they will tell you that we are crazy and are not doing the deal but we are.

I'm not disputing the MF and residual - those match the information I have.

I'm questioning the adjusted capitalized cost, because the numbers we have give a payment far less than what the dealer is quoting you.

    Math doesn't lie.

    Where is the acquisition fee?
Where is the dealer fee (assuming there is one)?
Where is the registration or DMV costs (assuming you pay that to the dealer)?
What state and tax rate is this?

If that cap cost includes all the above then the actual selling price is far lower, and the payment should be a lot smaller than the $520/mo quote.

Premium and Prem Plus have a better residual than Prestige.

    FWD or Quattro?

    Hi everyone,

I got a lease offer for a A4 premium plus quattro with tech package and cold weather package in New Jersey. 12K miles/36 months.

MSRP 48885. Selling Price 43882. Fees 750. Tax 3079.29. Net Sales Price 47411.97

2100 out of pocket to cover first month and fees, 538.29 monthly. MF is .00079 and RV 58%.

Any opinions? Does this seem fair? I did not try to negotiate yet so may try to get the selling price down another thousand or so if I can, and compare to other local dealers.

    Thanks!

Tax can't be $3079 on a lease, in NJ. You should ask for the adjusted CAP cost on your deal, and the actual sales tax on the lease quote.

.00079 MF and 58% residual are correct.
