Hello -

What are the Residuals and MF for the 2017 340xi for 24/30/36 months and 10,000 miles? I live in Virginia.

I know residuals are a lot better on the 2016s but the 2017 has Apple Carplay!

If I order a 2017 340xi this week and the car comes in October - do I get the August MF/ residual or the October one - or can I pick between the two if one is better than the other?

I believe that you can choose to lock in the current rate, or use the rate as of the delivery date. But, you have to take the entire program - MF, residual and any incentives.

Cannot mix and match.

.00137 and 57% for 36/15. 59% for 36/12.

How does this lease sound?
36 months, 10k miles per year

Selling price of 58,055 (2017 BMW 340i xDrive)
Money Factor - .00088 (.00137 is buy rate before 7 MSD’s)
Residual – 60%
Virginia Tax - $2,380.26 (4.1% of the sales price of the vehicle)
Monthly payment before tax - $692.51
Monthly payment including tax ($2380.26 / 36) – $758.63
6358.63 down with 5600 going toward MSD’s

The numbers don't jive with what I have in my Excel calculator - they are off by about $15/month but maybe my calculator isn't perfect?

MSRP is $62,820

Bank fees being the Lease Aquisition fee of $925? I have that in my calculation as added to the price of the car before I calculate the monthly payment along with a $250 processing fee and $50 for title/registration fees.

Actually with the Acquisition fee of $925 it is $751 - so closer to the number quoted now - I originally had it as $695

I would confirm with the dealer what number they are using as the adjusted cap cost, and make sure you understand how they arrived at that number.

When I add the fees (of $1368.50) to the Sales price (so total price of $59423.50) - I come up with the same price as the dealer - if you use $59423.50 as the sales price instead - do the numbers match? The $1368.50 breakdown is $300 documentation fee, $995 lease acquisition fee and $143.50 registration/title fee.

With the MF adder for ED, .00118 MF is correct. 60% residual for 36/10.
Tax in FL is on the payment.

Looks like your acquisition fee is rolled into the CAP cost. I get $555/mo.+tax, which is close.

Guessing there is a big dealer/doc fee hiding in that fee bundle.

Looks like a good deal.

Correct. Acquisition fee is rolled into the CAP cost looking back over the paperwork now. Dealer fee is $845 which can't be removed (they charge it to everyone) but I had them take it off the MSRP.

The fee break down is as follows. I made a mistake on the fees are $1317.92 total to start plus first month, plus MSD's.

License and reg $141.85
Florida fees $60
Tire/batt $5.50
Dealer fee $845
Tag fee $199
State FL fees tax $3.93
Other U/F fee tax $62.64

We didn't get a new program. We think that BMW extended the August program through the weekend, but we can't verify that.

Any word on September rates for a 2017 340xi with 36 months / 10,000 miles?

My dealer emailed me and said for September the residual is now 61% (versus 60% last month) and there is also a $1,000 incentive. He didn't mention the Money Factor though so I assume it is still the same as last month (0.000137).

So my dealer said the residual is 61% for the 2017 340xi with 36mos / 10,000 miles per year. Is the dealer allowed to quote a "worse" residual and pocket the difference? I know they can do it with MF, but I didn't think they could alter the residuals that BMWNA releases each month.

What is option allowance? Does it apply only when leasing the car or does it apply even when purchasing? Is the $1000 option allowance only for 340 or is it available for 330 as well?

Yes, 62% for 36/10

The incentives must be used to reduce the cap cost.

Yes, negotiate your best price, then apply the incentives.
