    Well let me be the first to say the optional BOSE system would solve these problems, there's no question in my mind. Compared to almost any base stereo the BOSE option blows it out of the water.

    GM has perhaps the longest history with BOSE of anyone in the industry, dating back to the early 80s in Cadillacs. I think the systems tend to be pretty decent, no?

    I have the BOSE system and it sounds just as horrendous as the factory one. There is NO bass whatsoever. It's like listening to an old AM radio.

    I have the BOSE system and I'm very satisfied with it. Will it rival pro systems and dim the lights? No. But for listening at normal to loud volumes, it is crystal clear and does not distort, while delivering plenty of bass.
