I have a Laramie trim, a Limited trim, and a Longhorn trim.

All 2500 series use the standard MF, which is something like .00270 this month.

Laramie - 54%
Limited - 50%
Longhorn - 51%

What is the standard money factor for Miami?

I am being offered incentives of between $4,000 and $9,000 but all the incentives say I must take retail delivery by 5/31. The problem is they have to bring the truck from another dealer out of state and it won't make the deadline.

Do the manufacturers offer more incentives later in the summer when the new model year comes out?

Don't have the money factor number, but it's likely between .00200-.00280.

Can't tell you what might happen to incentives after this program expires. The dealer probably doesn't know, either.

The following is for a 2017 Ram 2500 Tradesman, Crew cab, 4x4. Lease with 10k mileage 48 months for Miami.

I am trying to back out the MF and residual from the following offer from the RAM website.
MSRP $38,545, options $4830, dest charge $1,395, down pay $4,744 (12%), dealer discount $3,000, term 48months, incentives $4,000. They get a lease payment of $338.

I get a payment of $429 when I use MF of .002 and residual of 50%. Not sure which number to change, MF or residual?

I think I figured it out, I forgot to include the $3,000 dealer discount. With that and .002 MF and 52% residual on a 48 month lease I get $337.74

I have a question on the early buyout of a lease.

If I want to refinance a Chrysler lease into a loan from my credit union what will I owe Chrysler?

I asked the dealer "Is there a prepayment penalty on the lease if I exercise the purchase option early?"

Their response was:

"Early purchase calculation is remaining payments plus residual and the 350 purchase option fee."

So here is my potential example: 2017 Ram 2500 Laramie, 4x4, Crew, short bed
MSRP is $62,170, net cap cost $48199, money factor .00259, term 48 months, residual $24868

I get a payment of $715.81 with taxes. For the entire 48months the total payments would be $34358 including interest of $9083.

So my question is: The dealers answer seems to indicate I would be on the hook for the entire 48 months of payments including interest plus the residual value? Am I paying the full 48 months of interest or just the interest up to the time I payoff the lease?

That is correct - when you sign the contract, you commit to 48 payments of x. Those payments already include the interest (rent charge).

If, after 12 months, you decide to buy out the lease, the payoff value is as the dealer described - 36 remaining payments plus the residual value plus the purchase option fee.

My question back to you is - why would you want to do that? If your intention is to keep the car, just buy it from the outset. That way, you'll skip the fees (acquisition, buy out, etc.), and likely have a lower interest rate (.00259 is over 6% APR)

@carguymia Don't take the dealer's word for it. Call the leasing bank and ask for your payoff. Be sure to ask if that includes sales tax. There may be some savings on the finance portion of the lease payments not yet made.

Your lease is not with the dealer, it's with the bank.

Of course, if this is hypothetical, then you have no one to call.
