Hey all, just got quoted this from the dealer -

36/12k Escape SE MSRP $29480, residual 57%. $300 down after $1200 in drive offs ($1500).

Monthly $299 before tax, $325 with 9%.

It has leather and group 201A package. I only went in to test drive and ended up sticking around to see what they could offer. They said they took $1000 off for lease conquest and customer cash.

Is that a good deal? What are the incentives in SoCal right now?

Those prices give me a payment of $342/mo before tax, $373/mo after tax.

So, your deal looks pretty solid by comparison.

Ford has many regional numbers - and, we don't have the specific numbers for MI. The closest we have is Ohio, which shows .5% for the Escape.

Have you confirmed with multiple dealers?

Interesting, I was on Ford's site and the build and price showed $2250 RCL cash for the Escape Titanium, that is where I received that info from. Thank you!

Ford numbers are highly regional, and we don't have the RI information, so what you show could very well be correct.

Best thing to do is to contact and dealer and see what they have to say.

Was a dealership in central New York yesterday. I based my figures using the .50% APR that I was given here yesterday. Dealer told me he didn't know where I got that info, because Ford is offering 1% APR and no less for a 36 month 10500 mile escape se lease. I know ford numbers are regional. I was just wondering how accurate your New York info is. I signed a purchase agreement, but haven't signed the lease or taken possession of the vehicle yet. Should I have them put the deal on hold, and could I walk away at this point without repercussions? No deposit or down payment was given. They are going to do a payoff on my trade however.

If your only issue is APR, you can double check that with another dealer in your area

We don't have the NY region, so we can't verify it. 1/2% is pretty minimal. I doubt the dealer would stick to that, if it wasn't true, given the small difference in total cost (about $400 over 36 months).

If you like the rest of your deal, I'd go ahead.

Ford incentives are ridiculously regional. The Ford inventory website shows $2250 RCL for north of MI and $3000+$1000 SUV Season for central MI.

Ford uses APR instead of MF .... divide by 2400 to get the decimal MF for calculations.

You must be in PA .... using your MSRP and net cap, I get a payment of $337/mo with tax included.

The $1258 rolled in will add about $38/mo, so $375 total.

Pretty close to the dealer quote ....

State is GA, tax is 7% and the $5000 is being taken out upfront from the total price after the rebates and tax. MSRP is $35,015.

.50% APR (MF) and $1750 lease cash.

GA taxes the entire selling price, so I'm sure that some of that equity is going to the tax.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted capitalized cost .. if any of the trade equity is being used as cap reduction, you don't want to do that. Have the dealer cut you a check for anything left over after taxes and fees are accounted for.
