2013 BMW 7 series or a new C300

Both cars are around 40k, which one is the better buy?
A used 13 BMW series with around 20k on it or a brand new C300?
How long until the BMW starts to break apart and all the maintenance starting to kick in?
I honestly like the 7 series better but I'm afraid of the maintenance cost that comes along with it.

    If the '13 BMW is out of warranty, I'd steer clear of it. My point of view is that it's not old enough to be serviced efficiently at your local repair shop and yet it's new enough that you'd be dependent on the dealer for repairs---and on a 7 series, that could hurt. I suppose if you planned on keeping it for just a year or two then maybe that's a small enough risk to take.

    Other people here may have an entirely different view. This is just my two cents, being really pragmatic about it. Sometimes I take risks because I just like a certain car.

    I agree, I'd only go German with a new car warranty.
