Total cap cost: 39781 including all rebates available.

Quoting me 515/month 36 months 12k/ year. This is not through Chrysler. through Teachers/NEFCU.

I owe 1st months and DMV upfront.

I plug this into my lease calculator and I get a much lower number. $434/month

Something is off.

$39,781 might be the sale price, but it probably doesn't include NY tax (paid upfront) or the acquisition fee. Ask them for the adjusted CAP cost, and how they got there from the sale price.

The adjusted CAP would have to be around $43,500 to get that payment. You are $3700 away. $1260 for tax.. Find out what the other $2440 is for. (maybe, tax on rebates will be part of it).

Those numbers, as is, give me a pre-tax payment of $597/mo, so much closer to the dealer quote than your calculations.

Michaell - thanks - it's a 4x4, made a mistake with the way I laid out the numbers above- the 3k would reduce the price of the car. So the price of the car is $ 44,180 - includes all incentives, rebates and my 3k. The $ 589 includes tax, he is telling me that I would owe at signing - 3k, plus first month, plus DMV.

And the acquisition fee? Dealer fee? Is that in addition to the $3K as well?

If so, $3K would reduce your pre-tax payment about $84/mo

That's interesting. A local dealership quoted be an MF of .0006 for 39 months 15k. But they wouldn't do a pull ahead and tried to tell me that my calculations were wrong because their payment was higher and I couldn't figure out why until I got up and the manager told me. I'm going to try another dealership that sent me a coupon to see if they are any better.
