I was told today that if the dealer goes through Chrysler (to achieve these rates), they'll lose the rebates (which totaled $3500) Obviously seems like they get a better kick back from the other financing company.

We only have numbers through Chrysler Financial.

Other banks have very different residuals and MF, to offset the rebates. Overall deal is about the same, but you'd have to run the numbers both ways to know for sure.

Since there is no board for general 2017 JGC comments, I note here that in the most recent issue of Motor Trend which rated about umpteen SUV's, the JGC was not even mentioned. Anyone know why? I just leased a 2017 Limited and love it.

Hello... Majorly appreciative of this forum and all of your efforts, kyfdx and Michaell.

Trying to understand the differences in the figures between three of the trim ranges available in the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Trailhawk, Overland and Summit).

When you have the chance, I would appreciate if you could provide the updated December numbers -- Money Factor and Residual -- for the following:

Trailhawk at 36/10k, 39/10k
Overland at 36/10k, 39/10k
Summit at 36/10k, 39/10k

Looking for prices prices with the V6 only, please. Love the diesel, but they are too hard to find with the array of options I want. I will be shopping and purchasing in the great state of New Jersey.

Are those numbers correct for the residual and MF through Chrysler?

If they marked it up the maximum .00042, then it would be .00114.

Here is a quote I got from a dealer in SF Bay area. I have crunched these numbers in 3 different online calculator and a personal spreadsheet. I am always off by around $20 per month less from what the dealer is asking even though he shared his lease worksheet he is suggesting that the online and my personal calculators are off some where and they are not sneaking in any fees. What am I missing here? Please help.

MSRP = $45535
Sale Price = $41535
Lease incentive = $2250
Net = $39285
Residual = 57%
MF= .00085
10k miles 36 months

My Payment = $443 + tax
Dealer Payment = $463 + tax

Fairly new to leasing, I currently have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo, the lease began 4/27/2014. At the time I put down $3k for 15k miles/yr over 36 months. My payment is $354/mo currently. The lease is through Chrysler Cap.

With the lease expiring 4/2017 I have started looking at options. The first dealership I spoke with offered me all of the same lease terms (15k/year) for a 2016 GC Laredo, with $3k down and a new payment of $350 ($4 less than what I'm paying). I asked why I need to put $3k down again, he could tell I wasn't interested so came back and said $1k down and $350/mo payment.

I guess my questions are:

Should I need to be putting money down again?

What is a realistic target/goal for a monthly payment?

Looks like ZERO out of pocket at lease signing? That rebate covers all of your upfronts, plus some CAP cost reduction?
It would be nice, if they gave you the rest of that screenshot, with the adjusted CAP cost.
If I subtract the DMV fees, doc fee and 1st payment (I estimated $500/mo. with tax), that leaves $1260 for CAP reduction. Subtracted that from the sale price for a CAP cost of $40,275. That gives me a payment of $454/mo.+tax. (Inbetween.. lol)

You can see that I'm making a lot of assumptions. I'd just ask the dealer for the rest of that screen shot (page 2?) that shows the adjusted CAP cost and payment info. That should clear it up.

Your $3000 on the last lease included a downpayment portion that reduced the monthly payment. If you had only put $500 upfront, the payment would have been $425/mo. It's sort of like giving your landlord $1200 upfront, so that he reduces your rent by $100/mo. over the next year. The $3000 isn't any sort of asset that transfers to the next lease.. it's just a prepayment of funds to lower the montly payment.

Just like on the next lease.

What is the money factor and residual for a 2017 Grand Cherokee Altitude 4x4 for 36/12 and 36/10? What current incentives are being offered? We are in San Diego, CA. Been looking for a Velvet red or the Rhino color and have been having difficulty finding any. I have done lots of dealer searches without any luck. Any suggestions on how I might be able to find one of those?

Hi. I'm being quoted a deal in OH on 17 Overland 42/15k. MSRP = $53,675; selling price = $49,862 (I think can do better but lets see if #s work here for now). Assuming $1,028 down for taxes they quote me MF of 0.00023, residual of $25,764 and payment of $630. How does this feel to you guys? Thanks as always.

We show .00005 MF and 42% residual.
That gives a payment of $654/mo.

Looks like they are using a different bank than Chrysler Capital, as the residuals don't match.

Hi, looking to lease a 2017 altitude 4x4 in Long island New York. I was given a quote on an altitude with an MSRP of 40,585 of 386.76 per month 39 mo. 10K, 0 down. Due at signing: taxes $1755, BF $995, 1st month payment 386 - total 3136... seems too high both monthly and cash due on delivery. Any thoughts?
What is the MF and residual on a 10/36 and 10/39. Also any incentives available... first-time jeep buyer.

First, the lease numbers - .00080 and 60% (36/10) or 57% (39/10)

We don't have any incentive information.

What is the selling price or adjusted cap cost?

What is BF?

Suggest you restructure your deal to only pay DMV costs and first payment at signing - roll all the taxes and other fees into the payment. You'll have a higher payment but less money at risk (if you pre-pay the taxes and the car gets totaled, you think the state of NY will refund you?)
