BMW X5 40e - Lease Question

edited November 2017 in BMW
- Can I please have the MF and RV (36/15) for this particular model?

- I understand there is a $3000 rebate, correct? Does that go to cap cost reduction?

- Is there also a $1500 loyalty credit, and if so, what model year BMW do you need to have to qualify? And do you need to trade it in in order to get the credit?

- Would I also be able to use a $1000 fleet (employer) discount on top of the others?

- Any idea what the fleet/corporate MF discount might be?

Thanks!

    $3000 lease credit is available
    No information on loyalty incentives
I think the fleet discount can be added to the lease credit
No information on fleet / corporate discounts to MF

Thank you! I found a lease credit online...looks like it might be for those who have a lease or loan ending. I will research further. Thanks!

Seems like BMW is trying to move all remaining 2016 40e's.

Do you have the latest MF and RV's? Also, do you have the latest incentives? Looking at 15k/yr mileage.

    Thanks!

I see that in the fine print, but I don't think it actually applies to the 2017 model.
I have a breakdown of the advertised lease deal on the 2017, and it doesn't show the $2000.
They get to the price with a $3253 discount from the dealer, in addition to the $3000 lease credit and the $3500 CAP reduction from the customer.

We do not - use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools.

We suggest you target 7% off MSRP, before incentives.

    Hello everyone:

Does anyone have any pointers/advice on purchasing a used X5 edrive? I found a certified 2016 X5 eDrive for about $47,995 with about 13,500 miles and based on its condition, seems to be in good shape and thus a good deal. Given it only has about two years worth of warranty, I'm not sure if this is a gamble given 1) it will be a used hybrid 2) its a used BMW.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in-advance for your time.
  • NathanCrumbackNathanCrumback Administrator Posts: 508
@sktrojan, certified is nice. It should have more coverage than just two year, right? It's the remainder of the factory warranty plus a year/unlimited miles (http://cpo.bmwusa.com/protection).

I wouldn't be worried about the battery, I would just be worried about the costs of maintenance on a BMW. BMW/Mercedes/Audi are all expensive to maintain but if you budget for it and are prepared to pay that for a premium used vehicle, then go for it. It only gets an estimated 14 miles then when it switches to gas, it has a combined estimated average around 24 mpgs. I'm not sure if the eDrive is worth the premium for such low numbers but that is my personal opinion.

    Would appreciate your input:
Have an offer in Los Angeles for 2017 X5 40e

    MSRP $63,895
    Selling Price $57,531.11
    Lease Credit: $6000
    Total Cap Cost: $51,914
MF: .00192 (they are saying they bump up .00152 + .0004 "to supply additional revenue" since they discounted the car so much. Am I getting taken advantage here?)
Purchase Option: $36,030.85 (It appears low. Can they manipulate the residual? This is a 56.4% residual. Shouldn't this be 58%? There are 4616 miles on the car which might be the reason for reduced residual?)
    36mo/10k Lease
    Payment $610.05/mo before taxes

    Drive-offs
    $925 Acq Fee
    $80 doc fee
    $457 registration fee
    $11 Flat add/County fee
    $7 Tire fee
    $29 Electronic Filing fee
    $20 Smog abatement Fee
    $685.47 Upfront Taxes
    And first month payment

24 hr time limit on this deal (of course)

Correct.. residual is reduced to account for the current mileage. ($0.25 per mile)
Most BMW dealers attempt to markup the money factor. Once I get a selling price I'm happy with, I don't accept money factor markups, unless the price is reduced to account for it.
That money factor markup adds $35/mo, pre-tax.

Your drive-off amount can be whatever you want it to be. Of course, less drive-off equals higher payment, but at the minimum, I'd want to roll in the acquisition fee and upfront taxes. Rolling in $1600 adds $48/mo, pre-tax.

Selling price? Adding back in the $1154 residual reduction, the discount is about 8% of MSRP. That would be pretty good on a brand new car, but for a service loaner/demo? I'd want more than that. I'd guess they have at least another $2000-$3000 to work with. For sure, at the given price, it doesn't merit a money factor increase.

My stretch goal on this vehicle?
1st payment and $6XX DMV/dealer fees due at signing. ($1300 or so)
    $600/mo.+tax.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. After I realized "used" car was getting hit with residual penalty, I looked at their inventory and found another 2017 X5 40e new to negotiate on. Here is what I got:

    Total Cap Cost: $54826.27
    36mo/10k
    MF .00152
    Residual: 58%
Monthly pymt: $588.65 and $644.57 including tax

    Drive-off
    $925 Acq Fee
    $80 doc fee

Yes, the CAP reduction is just to give you a round number upfront.
The upfront taxes are on the rebate and acquisition fee.

You can roll in the acquisition fee and skip the CAP reduction. That will drop your upfronts to about $1850, and make the payment about $678/mo. including tax.

    Looks like a good deal.

    Cap Red (cash) $128.73
    Total $3000

    Appreciate the feedback!

    I get the same payment.

Thanks for the feedback! Haven't committed to this yet. Can I do better? Dlr says they are $2k under invoice which they say is $62955. Do they have more room to go?
Almost 9% off sticker, which is pretty good for BMW.

But, if you don't ask, you don't get.

Can you please let me know what the MF and RV for NY is on the X5 40e 36/10k & 36/12k? Do you know if a USAA discount can be added on top of the 6k bonus? Thank you!!!

    .00152 and 58% / 57%, assuming this is a 2017.

Not sure if the USAA discount can be stacked with the incentives.

Thank you for the quick response. I was actually looking for the 2018 X5 numbers. I tried to look for 2017 models but most local dealers are all sold out.
