I'm new to the whole lease/going to a dealership for a vehicle.

I'm looking for a good deal on a high mileage lease (18k-20k) 2017 q50 in the Southern California region.
What/how can you guys help me get the best price? What info do I need to provide to you? I've checked out multiple websites like truecar/leaseguide and other articles/websites on google. I've been reading about how the only things you can and should negotiate is the MSRP. From my understanding is you can't negotiate the residual value. I See all these numbers like .00003 at 48%. What does all that mean and how do I use this to get a deal on a lease?

I'm looking to see if I can possible get into a lease around this $250-(if its possible)$330 monthly range with 2-3.5k down

I appreciate any feedback.

I'd suggest you start by reviewing the articles here:

5 numbers used to calculate a lease payment:

1. MSRP - bottom line number of the factory window sticker. Fixed
2. Selling price - your negotiated price from the MSRP. The better you do here, the lower your lease payment is.
3. Residual value - percentage of MSRP the bank thinks the car will be worth at the end of the lease. Set by bank and cannot be altered
4. Money factor (the .00003) - used to calculate the "rent charge" (aka interest) on the lease. The number we quote is for top tier credit; dealer can mark this number up for extra profit
5. Lease term - length of the lease, in months

Depending on how aggressive the dealers get with pricing, you may get a payment in the $300's for the Q50.

However, the only up front money you should pay is for the first payment and the CA DMV fees - everything else you should add into the lease payment.

What is the MF for a q50 RS Premium Plus 39 months 12k miles a year? I'm in Illinois

Here's the deal I'm working with

39 months, 12 miles, 56800 MSRP, 51300 Cap cost about 630/month (with taxes). Does this sound okay? Is a MF of 0.0004 correct for this calculation?

Is the risidual of 54% correct?

It seems like with 9 MSD I can lower the payment $30 a month, that doesnt seem like a lot. I'd rather keep the MSD payment and have the cushion of 9 months payment

AWD? Then, .00004 and 56% residual

MSDs only serve to reduce the money factor. Therefore, no savings.

.00032 MF and 49% residual

Negotiate the selling price just like you would on a purchase.
You can't negotiate the residual. It's fixed by the bank.

Yes, RWD ... The tax is $3366 roughly. No other money being paid upfront. I like the wording "cheap". Have the dealsheet that was sent to me this evening.

Closed a deal yesterday in Bridgewater NJ on a 2017 Q50 PREM AWD PREM PKG. MSRP 46170, cap 37100 zero down, 2400 upfront which included nyc tax 1214, bank 700, first month 350, doc, dmv transfer included 39/10K, thanks Ben.

We show 52% as the 24/10 residual.

That does look like a good monthly price, relative to the MSRP.

Can't help you with selling price, though that looks pretty good from here.
The calculations are correct.

It's not necessary to pay all of those charges upfront. I would roll in the $2900 and have a payment of $520/mo. with just first payment due at signing.
