    Wondering how this deal looks...
In Connecticut...2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 with the Luxury II Package. 36 months, 12,000 miles per year, payment is $564 per month, $0 due at signing (all fees rolled in). MSRP is $46,635. I don't have the sale price, although the sales manager told me it was $100 under invoice and then a $750 incentive on the lease. An Overland 4x4 loaded was $616 a month from the same dealership. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

    What are the selling prices?

    Lease numbers are as follows:

    Limited 4x4 - .00006 and 57%
    Overland 4x4 - .00007 and 56%

If we can get the specific prices, we can run the payments.

May I have the residual and money factor for laredo with preferred altitude package 4x2 $38,285 msrp ($34,785 after rebates) for 36/12 and 36/15? Zip code 33437, what would be a fair lease payment also with $0 down?

If that price is good on a lease, then $391/mo.+tax, assuming all other costs are paid upfront. (36/15)

Hey Michaell...the MSRP is $46,635 and the selling price is $44,635. Would also wondering a reasonable price for the same exact vehicle, just at a different dealership for $43,885. Thanks!

If the selling price is the CAP cost, then $506/mo.+tax
But, I didn't add any of the fees, etc, as those weren't quoted.

Subtract 5% from 36 month residual. Stick with 36 months.

    Hi,

Just wondering if this is a good deal for a 2017 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 with 8.4 NAV and Power Sunroof in Detroit, MI. MSRP is $43,380 but I used an employee discount and other rebates. Lease payment I am quoted at is $335 for 36 month 12K miles with $750 down which includes first month and fees. Thank you!

Can you Please give me your thoughts on this deal? I know MF is high because it is with Ally but residual is also at 58% vs 54% with Chrysler. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Can you help me understand the rent charge??

The rent charge is the finance portion of the payments.
(Adjusted CAP + residual) X money factor = monthly rent charge.
Did they disclose the money factor?
Looks like it's about .00350 (8.4% APR, equivalent)

Yes they did - they stated it was .0028 or 6.75%. I used the lease calculator at Edmunds and entered their numbers but kept getting a lower payment using the .0028 as they had stated. I also used the numbers you had given of 54% residual and .00006 MF and was able to calculate etc. The lower residual with Chrysler is actually offset by the far less money factor by my calculations.

Yes.. if the independent bank lease comes with a $5250 rebate, and an extra 4% on the residual ($1800+), then that more than offsets the full finance charge, so it's not surprising that it makes for a cheaper payment than the CC lease.

On the negative side: With more finance charge, and less depreciation, the payoff balance will be higher than with a CC lease, for the 2nd half of the lease. So, if you like to trade out early, etc.. you'll be giving back some of that advantage. Same goes for if you want to buy the vehicle at lease end. The price will be higher.

Also, the independent bank isn't likely to throw any incentives your way to get you to re-lease with Chrysler. And, also may be a little more of a stickler on lease-end charges.

I am looking into leasing a Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Limited.

I was able to work a deal down to $424 down and $424 a month. Do you think I can do better?

Is the luxury package worth it? Is the upgraded Alpine stereo much better and is the panoramic roof that important?

I'm within a couple of dollars of that.

The money factor markup is adding $35/mo.

But, that's a big discount, and a pretty good payment, relative to the MSRP.

    Hello,

This question is regarding a 2017 Jeep GC (of course) Summit. I'm wondering what the Residual % and MF are for such a vehicle in Portland, OR on a 3yr @ 12k mile/yr lease. Reading around it looks like it could be around 52% and .00004, but wanted to make sure.

This is the possible deal I'm going for based on this dealer's listing, though I have not spoken to them directly.

    The Numbers (w/Affiliate Rewards Program):
    • MSRP: $56,080
    • Possible Invoice (95% of MSRP): $53,276
    • Affiliate Reward Pricing (1% below invoice): $52,743
    • Dealer Discount: $6,204
    • Regional Customer Bonus Cash (WECHA): $750
    • Conquest Customer Bonus Cash (38CHA1): $1,000
    • Direct Mailer Certificate: $500
    Total Cost: $44,289
    Down Payment: $4,000
    Total (w/Down Payment): $40,289
    • Possible Residual (52% of MSRP): $29,162
    • MF for 36/12: .00004
Possible Payment: $309 (wasn't really sure how to calculate the payment)

How likely do you think this scenario is?

    Thanks for your time,
    Jason

    I confirm .00004 and 52% for Summit 4x4 for 36/12.

Do you think you can get $12,000 off sticker? It may be that some of those incentives are for purchase only.

And, we do not recommend any sort of down payment on a lease - in fact, restrict your up front cash to only the first payment and DMV costs. Roll everything else into the lease payment.

I don't have any insights into the incentives, either.

At some point, you'll have to contact the dealer and talk numbers with them.

Can you please give me some information on what to expect. Looking to lease a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT MSRP 74,865. Looking 36months 12k per year. What are current MF and Residuals or incentives. Thanks!

    .00013 and 51%

No incentive information for Chrysler Capital.

    Hello,

This question is regarding a 2017 Jeep GC (of course) Summit. I'm wondering what the Residual % and MF are for such a vehicle in Portland, OR on a 3yr @ 12k mile/yr lease. Reading around it looks like it could be around 52% and .00004, but wanted to make sure.

This is the possible deal I'm going for based on this dealer's listing, though I have not spoken to them directly.

    The Numbers (w/Affiliate Rewards Program):

    • MSRP: $56,080
    • Possible Invoice (95% of MSRP): $53,276
    • Affiliate Reward Pricing (1% below invoice): $52,743
    • Dealer Discount: $6,204
    • Regional Customer Bonus Cash (WECHA): $750
    • Conquest Customer Bonus Cash (38CHA1): $1,000
    • Direct Mailer Certificate: $500
    Total Cost: $44,289
    Down Payment: $4,000
    Total (w/Down Payment): $40,289
    • Possible Residual (52% of MSRP): $29,162
    • MF for 36/12: .00004
Possible Payment: $309 (wasn't really sure how to calculate the payment)

How likely do you think this scenario is?

    Thanks for your time,
    Jason

It certainly won't hurt to try. Those are the current incentives available on Leasing in my area. There's also an option for $5,750 West 2017 IDL (Independent Leasing) Bonus Cash if I go through an alternate bank, but I know the Lease Rates may be higher, but the residual may also be higher. Not totally sure of those numbers as FCA seems to be a "special" case in the Ally Bank Lease Guide (https://rvlg.allydealer.com/rvlg/index.aspx). It'll take some fancy foot work on when to deliver each bit of information, but I'm gonna shoot for the moon.

You say to restrict the down $ and roll it into the lease payment. Why is that? Won't I then be paying interest on that amount? My thought process is, what I pay now is really taking down the gap between the total sale price and the residual at the end of the lease. Is that not a good way of thinking?

Again, thanks for the confirmation on the rates.

OK, the big incentives are if you use a 3rd party bank, like US Bank. We don't have those numbers to verify, only those from Chrysler Capital.

Yes, you'll pay interest, but if the car is stolen or totaled, you won't get any refunds on the fees or taxes that you've prepaid.

I also would like to know does it make any difference if you go through Chrysler or a 3rd party to fiance? If the payment is going to be cheaper I don;t see the problem. Any comments?
    Thanks

Third party banks don't worry about a continuing relationship with you. That could make them a stickler on lease-end issues. Also, it could leave you out, as far as waiving disposition fees for re-leasing the same make, etc.

Other issues? A higher residual might make it harder to exit the lease, mid-term, if needed.

The money factor should be .00020. Decimal placement is important.
    57% is the correct residual.

To hit a pre-tax payment of $492.26, the adjusted CAP cost would have to be about $46,800.
How does that square up with your quote?

Also, if you have $1650 upfront, you want to know exactly what that money is for.
