2017 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG Lease Info

Does MB offer a minimum security deposit program and if so how many MSD's can be made? What would the maximum MSD's bring the bank rate down to? I'm looking at the new 2017 C43 AMG and the 5.19% interest rate is killing the deal when I work through the math of a 36 month 10K mile lease. Also, for a 36/10K lease is the residual on the coupe 58%? Thank you in advance for your help.

It's a Multiple Security Deposit program, and yes, MBFS has one.

Not sure of the parameters, though.

But, the base MF for this model is .00129 MF for the coupe. (that's equivalent to 3.09% APR), so they are marking that up on you. It's best to get them to use the base rate, before worrying about MSD reduction.

56% residual for 36/10 on the coupe.

Hello.
Trying to get an idea of what others are paying on a lease for a 2017 C43 AMG sedan. Went to my first dealer and this is what they came up with.
MSRP: 62530
Cap cost: 60530
Cap reduction: -951.79
Bank fee: 1095.00
Net Cap: 62576.79
Residual: 35642.10
Total Depreciation: 26934.69
Tax on credit: 329.22
Lic Fees: 542.75
Advance payments: 999.82
Other fee: 80
Total drive off: 6000
Rate: 0.00181

Monthly payments come to 999.82. Includes monthly depreciation of 748.19, monthly rental of 177.78 and monthly sales tax of 73.85 (California). Lease was for 36/15k. How is this looking? Can someone explain the high total drive off of 6k? Also I will take care of the negative equity of my trade in with cash but didn't offer it at the time because the deal seems bad to me. Thank you!

.00123 MF and 57% residual.

Money factor is marked up, and so is the acquisition fee ($795 base).
The upfront money is probably to cover your negative equity, though you don't say how much that is. (looks like $951 is going to CAP reduction)

That's a pretty small discount, as well.

Don't tell them the number - if they quote a higher MF, be polite and let them know you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF. They know the base rate. If they don't quote the MF at all, or want to hide the number from you, that's a sign to move on to another dealership.

The residual is fixed by the bank and cannot be altered.

Residual should be 56% for 36/10.

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost. Can't calculate a payment without it.

Here's what he said when I asked for a price reduction: "So it's 2,000 less, subtract the 5X% residual, you're really taking 1,000 off, which saves you 20/mo. The better deal would be on the one I have. If you really want the blue, we can build one" he gave me the proper MF and Residual percent.

What is your state and tax rate?

The tiny discount and marked up money factor make this a bad deal, either way.

Using your new numbers:

$66,900 MSRP
$65,065 Selling price
$795 acquisition fee
$500 DMV/dealer fee (est)
$66,360 CAP cost
.00127 MF and 56% residual
$934/mo.+tax = $990/mo.
Due at signing: 1st payment only.

So, even with high selling price, it's about the same payment, with $3800 less due at signing, than the original quote.

Every $1000 lower price saves about $31/mo. I don't have any idea what price you might be able to negotiate.

Dealer A - I would confirm, in writing, that your deposit is refundable.
Dealer B - Is the MSRP the same as dealer A? If so, when I use .00127 as the MF and 55% as the residual, those prices result in a pre-tax payment of $823/mo.

Dealer B changed the MF... They dont want to change it back saying that MF is from the MSRP....

Dealer B does not want to beat Dealer A... So i'm guessing getting 3000 off the MSRP on a Cabriolet is a good deal ???

Dealer A is the better deal. He wants me to fill and sign the Automobile purchase/lessee statement.
Do you know if USAA can get them to reduce the price even more? They have discounts for mercedes

I think there is a nice incentive from USAA, but I don't know the particulars.

We don't track selling prices, but it sounds like you've reached rock bottom by pitting dealers A and B against each other.

Go with the dealer using the base MF.

I don't know how MB works, but you may have the choice of using the MF/Residual in the month your order, or the MF/Residual of the month when the car is delivered.

Yes, but if the residual is lower in April (as set by the bank), then you have to take that with the better MF.

I believe the USAA incentive is something you present to the dealer. No negotiation necessary.

okay, I just found out I can get a $1000 off with USAA but I havent told the dealer yet. Im thinking maybe I can offer that when I get the car in a few months. Will they accept it or is money lost on their end?

I would but its bare bones and more affordable and they dont have the blue i want.
