First of all, thank you all for your time on here really appreciate what you all are doing, very helpful threads. Anyway, interested in a 2017 CR-V for my mother, looking at the touring model but per what I've been reading seems like Honda has a high money factor and no special interest rates. Does that make this a bad time to purchase or lease? Wanted to lease to own and save money with taxes but don't know what to expect now. Can anyone offer some help? What can I expect to drop off MSRP, should I use Costco sales instead or trucar? Is leasing to own not the best option to go? As of now I'm trying to budge a dealer out here for a touring with 2,500 down and a payment close to 350 in SoCal. For the 350 they want me to take a EXL but that's not what I want. Would appreciate any input.
Thanks guys!!
I know spring is a tough time to buy, and I am willing to wait until fall if need be.
However do you guys think that this OTD price is feasable?
i picked up my 2017 EX-L CR-V without navigation on Tuesday from a dealer in Scotia NY (near Albany NY). They matched the price of a dealer in Yorktown NY and sold the car for 29,000 (MSRP was 31435).
With a 2,000 trade in (which was a fair price for my old car), the OTD price was 29,300 approx with transferring plates.
hope this datapoint helps and good luck to all looking
thanks

I am looking for 2017 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD near Sacramento area, Anyone around Sacramento area recently bought it. Can you please share your price and dealer details, if possible.
Thanks
Inver grove honda, they will try to sell you extras I declined everything.
Final price: 29275 + 1902 tax + 402 registration and 75 doc fee. OTD ~31675$
MSRP: $27,635
OTD: $26,000
Is this a good price?
I was able to get SELLING PRICE: $25,630.00 + TTL
at DCH Gardena Honda
What is a reasonable starting point for negotiation, I am in no rush but don't want to make this car purchase a carrier either. Should I offer 6% or 7% below MSRP or is Costco Auto Buy worth it?

I'm looking for a 2017 CR-V EX-L AWD in the Houston, TX area. I've done some preliminary searching but any advice on what price point I should be targeting now that the car has been on the market for over 5 months?
The price you got offered is ok. But I think you can have it for around 24,500 before TTL
I bought mine for 25,700. but mine is AWD which cost 1,300 more than FWD
I know CA tax is little more than 9% so add few hundred for the tax , but minus 1,300 for the 2WD.
In your case I think 27,500 is a good price. Hope it helps.
Did you get the car yet ?
I hope you can get your CRV EX 2WD for ~ $27,500 OTD
My dealer tried to have me finance with them at 2.49%, I told them that I want 0.9%, but they said no.
Since I have very good credit , I went to my Credit Union, they have me finance with them for only 0.75%. I'm so happy to show the dealer. They can not believe I beat them by far in term of getting financing.
I paid my CRV EX AWD $28,521 OTD with NEW plate, if I did transfer plate, It would cost about $300 less
2017 CRV EX 2WD
MSRP $27635
Options: mud guards, trunk tray, wheel locks
TTL and Other Fees: 732+88+579
Negotiated Out the Door Price: $26254
Traded in Vehicle for $1000
Added:
HondaCare 8yrs/120K $1075
Honda Maintenance 4yrs/60K $1000
Total $27429
Not sure what to make of this deal. Honestly, I was exhausted trying to find the right model, color and price between 15 or so dealers. I really wanted the blue obsidian but compromised on the gunmetal which looks really good too. Also I felt the honda care and maintenance seemed like a good buy at the time with rough calculations but not really sure if I just made an impulse buy.
Thanks everyone for the help as I read every post from the first.
Cash purchase Vehicle $25541.06
Sales tax $2241.84
Doc fee $80
California tire fee $8.75
Other fee $17
Total out the door price $27888.65
I tried to get down to $27,500, but they are so firm for that price. The good thing is the whole buying experience is fast and smooth, no play game, I can in n out for 3 hours.
What dealer was this at?
Just got a 2017 CR-V EX with roof rail and rack(msrp 29,683)
$25,735
-$500 for trade (2005 Rav4 with 250k)
Doc fee $399.00
MA Tax 1692.13
MA Plate & TItle $100.00
Out the door $27,336.13
Hope this helps anyone looking to buy similar car.

Chicago/Wisconsin area. Planning to finalize the lease this Monday (tomorrow).
Any help is greatly appreciated as I want to get done with it tomorrow!
We have a 2007 honda CRV LX AWD with 107700 miles on it. We had got an offer of $5000 from carmax for the car. On Sunday, driving home, the car lit up like a christmas tree with check engine and VSA lights coming on. We took it in and they said the oil pressure switch and assembly had to be replaced for $341. We took a new car for a test drive and after talking for awhile they offered the new car for 28986 plus 289 doc fee plus title and tax. They also offered $5500 for the trade in. Just went to another dealership that had the costco deal. Our current car lit up like a christmas tree on the way there again with the same lights, so apparently it was not fixed. Anytime you tried to accelerate above a slow acceleration it would just start jerking. We told them they could give us a quote on the tradein but that the lights just came on. The costco quote was 29840 plus 219 doc fee plus title and tax and the tradein was a real low ball. I needed to leave for volleyball and said we had a much better quote. They came back with 28912 for the new car and 6300 for the trade in as is so I took it. I believe they would have come down more on the new car and given me less for the trade in if the two transactions were completely independent. The net affect was the same.
