    Hello,
Can you advise MF & RV for 36/10, 36/12, 36/15 on 2017 Tacoma SR Access Cab Long Bed AWD in NJ ?
    Thank you,
    Alex

I'll assume 4x4 as you are in NJ.

.00200 MF for all Tacomas; 36/15 residual of 71% (stick shift) or 70% (automatic)

    Add 2% for 12K; I don't believe Toyota offers a 10K allowance.

Can I please get info on a 2017 TRD Sport 4X4 double cab in SoCal 91790?

Haven't negotiated a price yet but the dealer near me has a $750 incentive but not willing to budge much more.

Is it possible to get $400/mo for 12k/36 months with no down?

    thanks!

I think you can get a few % off the sticker price. Tell them you'll take a look at the Colorado if they don't play ball.

Couldn't get a deal on TRD so looking at TRD off road 4x4 auto. MSRP is $36,833 selling price of $35,521.

Dealer wants $2k down $422 plus tax a month for 36/12. Is this a good deal?  I'd like to get it for no down and $400. Thanks.

With your prices, I get $384/mo plus tax.

What is the tax rate where you live?

That assumes all fees are paid up front - you should get a breakdown of what the $2000 covers.

9.25% tax rate. So I got them to do no down but the residual value is $26,599. Is that high?  At 71%, the MSRP is $37,463. Selling price is $36,018.

    Thanks

High residuals equal low depreciation and a lower lease payment.

Hey, I'm located in Denver, CO

do you have MF / MSD info for Toyota 1 Pay Lease?

looking for terms built around 36/12 on:
--Tacoma TRD Off-Road Double Cab Long Bed (or Short)
    ----or
    --Tacoma SR5 Double Cab

Are the MF and residuals for a standard 36/12 noted elsewhere in this discussion still valid for Denver area?

    Thanks!

    Residuals are national.

MF and incentives are regional for Toyota, but for the Tacoma, the standard MF applies nationwide.

    No one-pay information.

Can someone help me with this offer. How would 3000 down payment only lower the cost to 35713 when 37602 minus 3000 is 34602? Shouldn't the cap cost be 34602? Its a 17 TRD Sport double cab 4x4 auto short bed.

the offer states "$289 a month for 36 months with 3939 due at signing. Which includes first months payment, 3000 down payment,$0 security and $650 acquisition. Example based on model 7542. Optional quipment varies by region. Total MSRP including freight is 37602. Monthly payments of 289 total 10404. Capitalized cost of35,713 base on down payment and dealer participation which may vary. Payment may vary depending on final transaction price. Lease end purchase option is 25945. Does not include tax, license, title, insurance."

could i have the dealer roll the 3k into the lease so its $0 down payment? And then negotiate to the cap cost to get 289/M? Dealer has similar MSRP discounted online to 35-36000.

Its in Missouri sales tax around here is 8.113

if i can't do that then what is the best $0 down price i could get? Assuming 37602msrp and i get the dealer to sell it at 35713?

Looks like that advertisement is just giving the Gross CAP (or selling price) that it's based on. Not the adjusted CAP cost, after the $3000 downpayment is deducted. So, in this example the adjusted CAP cost would be $32,713. (not including tax, dealer fees, DMV, etc)

So, in that example, the dealer would have to discount the vehicle by about $1900. Which is pretty good on a Tacoma.

So, seems doubtful you could get that deal with $3000 less down. Of course, you could roll that in to the payment, along with the $650 acquisition fee, but you'll be bumping $400/mo., I think.

@mfarr11 I leased a Tacoma Sport stickshift in June, and USBank had a ridiculously high residual on it. (80% for 36/15). I don't know if your St Louis dealer can use USBank, but if they can, you could save $100/mo using that program (assuming it's still the same for July).

My local dealer said they always use TFS, but of course they had the USBank lease available. I had to insist they run the numbers. It was obvious that they rarely wrote USBank leases. For most Toyotas, the TFS money factor is very, very low, so independent bank leases aren't competitive. But, with the Tacoma money factor, the USBank lease was the best, by far.

The super high residual was only on the stick-shift model. There were only four of them available among the five local dealers, here. Normally, I advise sticking with the manufacturer's captive leasing bank, but you can't ignore the savings. One other advantage to USBank: GAP insurance is included at no extra charge.

    My deal:

2017 DC 4X4 TRD Sport manual transmission
    $35,7XX MSRP
    36/12
    .00135 MF and 82% residual
$250/mo.+tax, with $627 due at signing.

I think that money factor was even marked up a little bit, but I wasn't arguing with that deal.

@kyfdx Are their fees any different then TFS? I have a current lease with TFS on a camry so I'm familiar with theirs. One of our local banks that I've had a loan through before and were great with, offers a lease type loan. Its not a balloon interest only type. Basically its like a normal loan except you pay the depreciation like a lease. No acquisition. $0 down. You own the car and have title in hand with a lien like a loan. you have all the normal benefits at the end of the lease as far as return/sell/keep/trade. But I was getting 289/M for a TRD Sport MT DC after interest with them 36/12. So at the end of the lease/loan (what ever you want to call it) I can refinance it into a normal loan for the residual buy out just as TFS. Only down side see right now is that I will have to pay sales tax (8.113%) on the vehicle either up front or worked into my loan/lease. And in Missouri if I traded the vehicle after 3 years and got $25000 I would get that deducted from my next car on sales tax and only be taxed on (35000-25000) 10000 instead of another full 35000. Or see it on the long run that the equity at the end will off set my tax that I paid in the beginning. Would this be something to consider from a expert stand point?

    Quote details
2017 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 MT DC
    MSRP 34235
    INT 4.39%

(yes i know thats a base base trd sport)

@mfarr11 Actually, what you are describing is a balloon loan. As you note, one downside compared to a lease is having to pay full sales tax, vs. just tax on the payment. Usually, you see those more in states that already levy tax on the full selling price on leases (GA, TX, MD, etc).

One warning: In this balloon note (and, in most Tacoma leases, as well), the residual amounts are so high that you typically won't want to purchase the car at the end of the term. Also, to preserve your sales tax credit, you'll have to trade that truck in, and a really high residual might mean negative equity. In that case, you'd probably just turn it in.

The USBank lease I described has a $695 acquisition fee vs. $650 with TFS, but includes GAP insurance which is extra with TFS. It's not something you can go get on your own. It has to be through your dealer's F&I department, but worth looking into.

The TRD Sport comes very well equipped. The only options we have on ours that aren't on the one you noted is a tow package ($650) and flip-back tonneau cover ($650). And, maybe a mat package.

@kyfdx Ok. Well my last question would be is how do you like the manual? I test drove a access cab manual (only one in my area) and i found first gear to be weird in my opinion. Does the truck start off and accelerate better in 2nd from a dead start? or does the truck stall out or shutter?

IMO, it's 2nd gear that's a little weak from low revs. It's different from driving a 3400 lb. car, that's for sure. If you are starting up a hill, you really have to wind out 1st gear. 2nd gear doesn't pull well from 5-10 mph, except on flat ground. The engine is great, if you rev it out, which isn't typical for pickup trucks. You definitely won't take off in 2nd gear. Doesn't bog down or shudder... just takes forever to build revs at low speed in 2nd.

The more I drive it, it's not an issue. Just something to get used to. But, if I were going to tow or do anything heavy duty (and, I'm not), I'd get the automatic. And, I'm a die-hard stickshift driver.
