Debating between a 2017 and 2018 C Class 4matic sedan. the 2018changes include 9 spd trans, google play/maps with voice commands(could that be used instead of getting the Nav?) sun roof now std. Sports pkg now called AMG line, stand alone options now Burmeister audio, LED lights. Also interested in the differences in a lease for 36 or 39 months 10K in NY-residual value and money factor. for 2017 vs 2018. Your help is greatly appreciated. My current lease is up the end of Sept. 2017

C63: 61%/56% residual for 24/36 months
C63S: 58%/53% residual for 24/36 months.

No info on money factor bumps for lower tier credit.

Hi Micheall- I am looking to lease a 2018 C Class Sedan sport. I am in TX. Pretty sure the MF is inflated. The current numbers I have now at almost 11% off MSRP are: Sticker: $47,200- $5,192= $42,008 plus taxes and tags which comes to $45,066 which includes sales tax at $2714. $0 down, 12,000 miles for $714/mo for 36 month lease. I know there is padding somewhere because I have a much better deal on my current E class lease for 15k miles and $52k cost!

Any other recommendations on how to get the price down or MF reduced? I have excellent credit and not eligible for a fleet discount, but I am prepared to lease another MB. Is there a loyalty incentive available?

With your MSRP and cap cost, I get $556/mo

However, I don't see any mention of the acquisition fee or doc fee. Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is, accounting for those charges.

But yes, MF may also be marked up.

Thank you, kindly! Yes, its RWD. I was now offered $598/mo. I still havent seen the full breakdown yet. Also, do you know of any leverage I can use in turning in my existing MB lease? I am 12k under the mileage allotment of 45k on a 2014 E Class Coupe. Is there any equity to negotiate or excess wear and tear that can be waived?

On your existing lease, there is no recourse for the unused miles. You paid for them.

You may want to check the current buyout and trade values to see if you have any equity. Likely not, but that's just a guess on my part.

Thanks for your help! I am debating between a white with a sunroof and a black with a pano roof. The dealer with the white car is willing to get to $550. I am using that as leverage with the other. If I can get it to $550, that would be a good deal, right?

Without knowing the MSRP and selling prices or adjusted cap costs of either vehicle, no way for us to tell you if it's a good deal or not.

Both are C Class Sedan Sports with Night Package and Carplay, only difference is the white has a sunroof and the black is pano. For the white one, the numbers are in the image.

For the black one, they are reworking numbers, but the last ones I have are $45,719 with taxes (TX). Residual 60%, MF .00144, Payment $598. Then he said he got the payment to $582 with tax credits, and he's working with his manager again now. I said the MF was too high, plus acquisition fee, and the white one is throwing in tinting.

I will ask both for revised numbers on all fronts.

I'm guessing the white one is a 2017, as the base MF is .00121, while the base MF on the 2018 is .00124.

You may have to live with a small bump in MF to get the discount you want. It's getting harder and harder to get both the base MF and a big discount from sticker.

If one dealer is working on tax credits, that is a good thing for you.

They are both brand new 2018s. Only difference between the two is the white one has a regular sunroof in the black is a panoramic. The dealer for the black one gave me a price of 582 with tax credits. But he still working with his manager so waiting to see what he comes back with and then getting the new numbers. Knowing that they're both 2018's, what do you think about the pricing?

Thank you, Michaell! They are wrapping the roof to make it look panoramic and tinting it. I asked for more off MSRP, but they said thats there best and final. They have been very eager to sell this especially with the pending hurricane. They asked what number I needed to be at to take the car, and I said I wasn't sure because it didn't have the pano roof. I think it's a sales tactic, but not sure if I can get more off MSRP. Do you think that's the best they can do on MSRP?

Perhaps you should hold off until next week - might be great deals on some "slightly wet" inventory.

Returning user after 3 years. Michaell & kyfdx had helped me get a great deal last time around !

Wife wants a 2018 C300 Cabriolet White (Polar/Diamond White) with Red / Saddle interior. Looking at a 7.5K or 10K mile lease for 36 months. Premium package, I'm adding AMG Line and all season wheels. Not many Cabrios is the Columbus, OH market with that color combo and she wants a convertible ; I'd rather she get a C43 but losing that battle.

Question for the experts here.

1. On Sedans & coupes I have seen 7-11% off MSRP. I want to start there. Is that unreasonable
2. Have contacted dealers via email and they are talking of a out of state dealer trade. That reduces negotiating power I presume? supply vs demand ; no motivation to clear inventory ?
3. What are the MF & RVs for 7.5 & 10K?
4. 4 seat is a must. Open to any other comparable convertibles. She likes the Q60 but thats coupe only. She is open to A5, Mutang in that order

2. Everything is negotiable; don't assume that a dealer trade limits your leverage
3. Assuming AWD, .00121 and 59% / 58%
4. Don't often see folks cross shopping the Mustang with a C-class cabrio or A5. If considering a Mustang, why not the Camaro?

I received a price for C300 class 4matic (base not sport) in NY with Premium 3 package, remote start, ambient interior lighting, 3 years maintenance, residual 61%, $ factor .00108 -.00098 auto pay, lunar blue. MSRP $50,605, Adjusted cap cost: $46,399, acquisition fee $795. MONTHLY FEE $559 Out the door with first months fee (559) + acquisition fee(795) + DMV fees, etc. = $1844. Supposedly inventory is low as the dealer had only 3 left (not my color) and would have to get the color I wanted from another dealer. I would appreciate your opinion on this deal. Thank you.
