Hi, can you please provide the MF and RV for a 2018 440i Convertible, for 36MO/15K/YR, for SF Bay area? Also, are there any incentives that BMW is offering on the model?
  • chriscsbchriscsb Member Posts: 10
Please provide MF and RV on a 2018 430i convertible, CA 36/10 and 36/12. Also, I am asking for 5% of the MSRP before the 2K lease incentive. Am I unreasonable? They only have one on the lot :( Thanks.

Ask for 7% off sticker, then deduct the lease incentive.

The more dealers you contact, the better your chances are of making a deal on your terms; the dealer will compete against each other to earn your business.

TY for the information on the NF and residual but I was looking for how much should the monthly payment be with the following (2018 430 xi GC)

    MSRP - $51,385
    Negotiated price - $47,885
Gross Cap Cost after fees- $49,818
    Adjusted Cap Cost after rebates/incentives - $47,068

    36/10

    and also

    36/12

    Hi Michael,

I noticed you said to ask for 7% off MSRP than deduct any lease incentives/rebates...
I was told there was not even a 7% mark up...

    Is this correct?

    $610/mo. or $623/mo.

Does your adjusted CAP cost include tax? If not, just multiply the payment by the tax rate, and that will be close.

    Is this correct?

    Base MSRP X .93
    Options MSRP X .92
    Add destination fee
    Add $500 MACO (advertising)
    Add $180 training fee
    = invoice price

For most BMWs, that ends up pretty close to 93% of MSRP.

    Michaell,

I keep coming up with different numbers then the dealer. Could you run these numbers so I can verify my calculator. 430i conv - 36/12 CA 8% tax.

    MSRP 61620
    Lic 480
    Doc 80
    Adjusted cap 57104

    Thanks.

Forget the sales tax, as CA taxes the monthly payment
But, add in $925 for the acquisition fee.
I'll assume your sale price includes the $2000 incentive from BMW, so we have to add $185 in tax on the rebate.
Rolling everything in, that gives an adjusted CAP cost of $766.55+tax = $837.46/mo.
Just first payment due at signing.

Needed your advice on two quotes! Its for a 2018 430xGC, built to order in IL (not chicago)

    First quote:
    MSRP: $51610
Adjusted cap: $46100 after rebates and everything.
monthly payment-- $599 + TTL on the first payment
edit-- seems like this price before any rebates, incentives are applied

    Second Quote
    MSRP: $51610
    Adjusted cap: $45513
monthly payment: $657 + TTL on the first payment

Can you tell me what the monthly payments for each should be?

    Thanks!

You want the buy rate for your lease - anything above that is profit for the dealer.

Be polite, but walk if they don't budge. Only takes one dealer to meet your terms.

Hi Michaell....If sales taxes are added into the gross cap cost, do you have to add them again when figuring out your monthly lease payments? Or do you just calculate depreciation fee and finance fee? I live in Illinois.
    Thanks

Hi Michaell....If sales taxes are added into the gross cap cost, do you have to add them again when figuring out your monthly lease payments? Or do you just calculate depreciation fee and finance fee? I live in Illinois.
    Thanks

No... Illinois collects the tax upfront. If you add that into your CAP cost, then your tax obligation is complete (unless you live in Chicago).

I'm looking to lease a 2018 430iGC and I can pay the 7msd, 0 down (not including msd), and the msrp is 46,975.
What's the residual value of the car, how much markdown can I get, and how much should my monthly fee be?
Is it better to wait till December or are there incentives now?
Once I have these details, do I negotiate each item with the dealer or do I just show them what I want and how I came up with the info?

What lease term and how many miles per year?

The MSD program from BMW has been discontinued.

    $2000 lease credit on 2018 4-series.

The residual is fixed by the bank - the big negotiable item is the selling price (we suggest 7% off MSRP), and you also want to ensure that the MF is not marked up.

Not sure if the deals will be better in December.

So I first negotiate the selling price then tell them that doesn't include the incentive. Usually dealers include that inn selling price no?
Assuming I'm able to get the 7% off MSRP, the incentive, and the MF you mentioned, what would my monthly charges beat in California for the 12K and 15K for msrp 46,975? Can these things be discussed  online or over the phone with the dealer? Or do I have to go in? Thanks for your help!

Also what is the residual for the basic package? What do you negotiate first, sales price? Then ensure MF isn't increased and they subtract the incentive?

Negotiate the selling price first - start with an 8-9% discount from sticker and see where that leads you. Yes, assume that any price quote from the dealer includes the incentive.

    .00152 and 54% (36/15) or 56% (36/12)

You can try to do it over the phone, but understand that the dealer won't think you are a serious buyer unless you are in the dealership.

With 7% off the MSRP you've given me, I get a payment of $614/mo before tax.

All fees would be paid up front, in my scenario. We suggest you roll them into the selling price.

Thanks for your help. One of my friends went through a broker and is paying 550 a month with a higher msrp. How do they get those deals on the broker is getting a cut as well?
