ASPEC AWD has the same MSRP, quoted $39684 selling price, 300 dealer fee, 307 TTL, 595 acquisition fee, I'm in Maryland with 6% taxes against full selling price.

I'm pretty sure it can be leased at ~$450/month later this year, not very popular model, I barely seen them on the roads.

I actually know two people who have the TLX A-Spec. One in Cincinnati, the other in Pittsburgh. They both rave about them.

But, the taxes in MD make leasing very expensive.

Even with MD taxes I was able to lease my first TLX about a year ago for 0.935% of MSRP per month with only first monthly payment due. Will try to achieve same number for ASPEC later this year.

The dealer gave a price of $2500 down(includes first payment,dmv,Down payment) $380 a month, 36 months, 25k Miles a year. Taxes are approx 7% in NJ

Hello gentlemen! Would you kindly share the residual on 2018 TLX Advance (MSRP 46,700) for 36/15 in North New Jersey? Did it go from 53% last month to 52% this month? I know the MF is .00088. Lease cash I believe is also $3500.

And here's a question. When paying "DMV fees" I notice all dealers have a different number, which to me says they're making it up/padding. For this car, 3 year reg is $239.50. Do I actually have to pay a title fee also or is that really the bank's responsibility since the car isn't owned by me? Why would I have to pay for a title for a car I don't own? Hmm.

Currently my best deal is 529/month with just 529 + DMV (300ish) due at signing. What do you think? Based on a selling price of 39,700...(plus some extra in there of course).....Seems pretty good so far. Thanks very much - I really appreciate it!

Need to know the adjusted cap cost in order to evaluate your deal, since you are rolling the taxes and fees into the payment.

I wasn't given an official adjusted cap cost, but I can estimate $795 added to cap cost (Bank fee probably 595 and 200 doc fee). Another deal I was given is $525/mo with $1900 (1st month/bank fee/DMV/doc fee) due at signing, which is about $1000 more than the 529 deal over the 36 months. Either way, not too bad I think. They've given me a selling price and it's not unusual to add the bank fee and a doc fee in to the cap cost (since I'm not paying up front)....so not sure it matters. Using a lease calculator and 39,700, I add 795 to get the payment to 529, making my adjusted cap cost 40,495. Actually because of my trade-in equity, I might actually wind up doing a finance, since it should be only about $100 more a month. One dealer suggested a one-pay lease, which really hadn't ever thought about. Losing that down payment $ if the car is totalled would be bad though.

Lease vs. finance kinda depends on how long you plan to keep the car. I've leased my last two cars, but would like to get off that merry-go-round the next time and find something I'll be happy driving for 5-7 years.

Yes sir. I think I'd rather get a new car every 3 years or so, though I think I like the flexibility of knowing I could get out of the car and into something different whenever I want, so a purchase is just easier...and a finance is a bit of a simpler transaction. Anyway, many thanks!
