Hi Friends,
Has anyone gotten a lease in Georgia and registered the vehicle in Florida ?

On a 2018 S5 SB, prestige with Sports Package, Driver assistance ( MSRP of $67 750), I am getting a quote of $795/month with 2k down on a 36mo/12k lease in Georgia.

The dealer insists that the taxes are factored into the Lease (with my Florida Zip Code). I am wondering if anyone has had issues with this ? I am just trying to avoid the issue of getting to a tag agency in Florida and avoiding paying 3-4K in taxes.

Florida taxes the monthly payment on a lease.
Make sure they are calculating the lease with Florida tax on the payment, not upfront.
GA taxes the full selling price of a leased vehicle, so you have to make sure you aren't paying GA tax upfront.

To make sure, ask them for the pre-tax payment, then after tax is applied.

Hi Michaell. At a bit of a loss as to how to think about a lease and negotiating strategy on S5 Sportback: $61,175 list price, 36 mos/15 K miles and $0 down payment. Lease being quoted to me is $1,129/month. Not sure how/if MSDs apply. Even with $0, this seems like an inflated lease. Thanks. TS

What is the selling price / adjusted cap cost?

These are not cheap to lease but over $1100/mo does seem a bit high.

Why put $5K down on a lease?

The $2500 from your current lease will add almost $70/mo to the payment. Why not hold out until lease end?

And, tax amount is not relevant for a lease in FL - the state taxes the monthly payment. Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost.

Need MF and Residual in Minnesota (15k miles, 36mo) for a 2018 S5 Sportback Premium Plus with no options added except Methos Black metallic paint for $575 and Carbon Inlays interior for $500.
Here is the Detail:
MSRP 56,450
Sale Price 55,450 (only $1000 off MSRP- is this ok?, I believe invoice is less than this)

As this car has no other options, dealer wants me to put down a $5000 non-refundable deposit as it couldn't be found at any dealership in the US so it will have to be custom ordered and will take anywhere from 13 to 18 weeks to delivery.

I would like to know the MF and Residual for 36 month 15,000 mile Lease.

6% off sticker is a good target price.

No way would I put down a $5000 non-refundable deposit to order a car. Check with other dealers to see what their custom order policies are.

Hello, thanks for all this valuable info. Is there a way to find out the MF based on credit tier? My dealer is telling me that I might have a higher MF if my credit score is below +/- 740.....

They are telling me there are eight tiers and anything above tier 3 starts getting expensive. Thanks!

We don't have the scores to correspond to each tier, but the MF does increase starting with tier 3.

Tier 1 is 740 and up. Tier 2 is 739-700 and tier 3 is 699-680.

7.5% is good, if the other incentives lower the price further. But, not so great if they are included in the 7.5%.

Is this a good deal? Worth it over A5? Any comparable cars from other OEMs for this payment or less?

I'd ask for the adjusted CAP cost and a breakdown of all of the charges.
Also, ask them to disclose the money factor.
The discount looks decent. I'd assume that includes the incentives.

Their quote might be a little high, considering the $2500 upfront, but they aren't gouging you.

My Audi dealer is telling me they'll do 6% off MSRP and another $1500 in rebate credits on a 2018 S5 SB Prestige. I think that's pretty good but they are adding back in a doc fee of $799 and a 'bank acquisition' fee of $895... I know the doc fee is way too high but what is this bank acquisition fee all about? They say it's charged by Audi/VW Financial and that 'all people have to pay it'.... Is this accurate or should I fight it? Thank you!

Every lease has an acquisition fee.
AFS acquisition fee is indeed $895.

The doc fee is pure garbage, but you are getting a good price.

It is different for each model/trim/term/mileage allowance.
But, for this car, it's .00137, not .00152.

You don't need to make a large downpayment. The terms of the lease don't change if you don't put all that money upfront.. just a larger payment.
