So... Just returned from a dealer here in NY, and these are the preliminary details of what I walked out with... This is for a car that the dealership currently has on order with a projected build date of 3rd week in January. The car is in "Factory" status, with no VIN.. I had the ACNA 6% discount, and I was adding AudiCare for 879 and +1% RV.. Their numbers pretty much jived with what I came up with (Payment spot on, due at signing within $100):

    MSRP: 58135
    36/12 Lease - Tax/Tags/Fees up front
$3827 due at signing / $670/mo -- minus incentives available at time of delivery
    Sales Tax here is 8.625%

One thing that caught me off guard was they said they could lock in the RV & MF now at 60% / and 0.00107 -- they list the bank as "VW CREDIT LEASING LTD". I thought Audi only utilized RV/MF that were current at time of delivery?

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks..

It's possible that the program changed to allow dealers to lock in the RV/MF at time of the order.

Can you please let me know the money factor and residual for a S-4 prestige; 3-year 12K miles/year lease? The sticker price is 65,950 and I have been offered $56,800 after all incentives. Due on signing will be $1200 (primarily registration and other fees)--no other cash outlay. Offered $699 +tax (total $767) including Audi Care. Is this good? Thanks so much

.00107 MF and 57% residual (58% with AudiCare)
    complimentary 1st payment
    $1500 marketing allowance

If $56,800 was the adjusted CAP cost, I get $617/mo.+tax
That's a $2800 spread... Find out what else is in the CAP cost.

I am meeting with my rep at the dealership this  Friday to discuss my next lease. (Hopefully a S4 as it seems to have a much better lease program than S3)What typically qualifies customers for the marketing allowance? I anticipate getting the loyalty money as I am already leasing through this Audi dealership in Columbus. Thanks!

The marketing allowance is an Audi-to-dealer incentive.

Can I get your take on a deal out of PA. 2018 S4 P+ , total MSRP before ship of 59,125 (mythos, sport pack,leather,19s,nav) negotiated price of 54,900. Can I stack all three incentives on top of that (first months payment, 750 loyalty and the 1500 dollar marketing allowance? Looking to lease (36mth/12k) and getting quote of 646 a month (at a MF of 107) with zero due at sign. Thanks!

Yes, all those incentives will stack.

Confirm with the dealer that those incentives are not part of the discounted price he's given you --- I suspect they may be.

What is the adjusted cap cost, if the taxes and fees are rolled in?

From what I can tell the negotiated price is 54900, plus 975 shipping, plus 978 in start ups (lease fee, tags and docs) minus incentives. 54603 cap cost. Taxes in PA are 9% on top of the 646 I was quoted. Thanks.

I get $644/mo plus tax with those prices (.00107 and 59%). Pretty close to the dealer quote.

Had a question on AudiCare and lease calculation... AudiCare adds 1% to the RV - that I know.. But, does the cost of AudiCare get added to MSRP in addition to the selling price in order to calculate residual? Dealer says it doesn't because the 1% increase in RV accounts for that.. On the contract, its listed as "Other Aftermarkets".

I *think* the dealer is right, but wanted to be certain.. Based on the November numbers of 36/12, 59% RV/0.00107 MF -- these are what my calculations are showing with a vehicle MSRP of 58,135 and sell price of 54,647:

These are fees and taxes upfront, no additional CCR.. NY, 8.625% sales tax:

Without AC (Sell 54,647): $3,787.01 at signing, $660.38/mo
With AC (Based on $879, added only to sell price - $55,526, 60% RV): $3,827.37 at signing, $670.21

The reason I believe the dealer is right is because when I add it also to MSRP, the cost is actually less than without AC:
    Without AC (MSRP 58,135 + $879: 59,014, sell price $55,526, 60% RV): $3,769.54 at signing, $656.12/mo

The contract order shows $3,827.37 at signing, $670.21/mo

As a reminder -- this is for a car currently on order, slated for early March delivery - so current incentives are not applied - but they did say they could lock in RV and MF now.

    Thanks..

No, the 1% bump to the residual is in lieu of the cost being added to the MSRP.

Thats what I figured -- noticed if you tacked on the 879 to MSRP and left the RV without the 1%, you get similar results..Thanks for confirming

    Hello all,

im hoping to get some advice on a 2018 s4 lease.

    15k miles/36 months
maine state taxes paid up front. 5.5% $2,091.00
    MSRP: $60,410.00
    $688.00 per month

does it it look like they gave a discount? Possibly the marketing allowance?

if I’m missing anything please let me know. Thank you all for your advice.

Premium plus. Due at signing is the $2,091.00 which includes about $1,400 in taxes besides a possible doc fee I don’t know what else was included in that. I have emailed the sales person to get more info but haven’t heard back yet.

To get that payment, the adjusted CAP cost would be about $55,700.
Considering DMV fees and $895 acquisition fee, it looks like you received a substantial discount.

DMV fees are done separately in Maine. It’ll be about $1,400 to register if I didn’t have a credit from my current vehicle. So it looks like it’s tax and acquisition in the $2,091.00 due at signing?

either way, it seems like a really great deal or they are messing with me.

Thank you for the Info. Would you suggest just taking this deal because January might not be so favorable?

Take the selling price, deduct the $1443 rebate, add the $343.50 in fees, and the number is higher than the selling price? All of these numbers seem to be going the wrong way.

This is the salesman's response when asked how the subtotal of gross cap cost was reached: "The Gross Cap cost is the selling price, $51,800 plus the acquisition fee, $895 plus Sales tax, $1984.96. That totals $54,649.96. That's a few dollars different from the gross cap cost Jeff sent you. We use 2 different computer systems here and they aren't synched."

That totals $54,649.96. That's a few dollars different from the gross cap cost Jeff sent you. We use 2 different computer systems here and they aren't synched."

Wow... your "quote" left out a lot of numbers, huh?
I guess the "subtotal" is with $895 acq.fee added, and the "gross cap" is with tax.
So.. the $1443 rebate? Is that $750 loyalty plus complimentary 1st payment?
Looks like the $1000 upfront covers first payment and fees (well, not quite).

On the plus side, given the gross cap, the payment looks right.... but, wait.. what about the rebate? That doesn't seem to be subtracted from anything?

So, maybe they've deducted the rebate, marked up the money factor? We just don't know.

    Two numbers you need:
    1) Adjusted CAP cost. This is the same as "amount financed" on a loan. If it's the same as the Gross CAP, then the rebate hasn't been deducted anywhere.
    2) Money factor. .00127 is the base. What number are they using?

    And, one more thing:
There is a $1500 incentive on this vehicle (Audi to dealer). 5% off MSRP isn't very good, when that's taken into account.

This is what received for my 2018 S4 PP 42/12 in Columbus, Ohio. Not sure how I feel about this deal. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks
    .00127 and 55% for 42/12

I get $695/mo using the MSRP and gross cap cost.

What was added to the subtotal to get the gross cap cost?

I’ll email the guy today and ask him. Thanks
Also.... how do you get that subtotal?
Take the selling price, deduct the $1443 rebate, add the $343.50 in fees, and the number is higher than the selling price? All of these numbers seem to be going the wrong way.

Ask them for numbers that add up.

I will ask for the adjusted CAP cost.

I was firm (I have read your guys forum on be firm but do not mention the actual number) when I met with the salesperson on Friday and told them I know I have tier 1 credit and will qualify for the base money factor. I mentioned I NEEDED the base money factor several times. Looks like I will need to ask to see the numbers as to what the actual money factor is.

I stated to the salesman that I was aware of a 1500 marketing allowance/incentive that was Audi to dealer which the salesman replied he wasn't aware of. I used this forum before I met with the salesman so I was trying to use my knowledge of December numbers and incentives to my advantage.

I also received about 6% off of MSRP on my current Audi lease (2015 A3) which is from the same dealership. I stated I was expecting a similar percentage off on the S4 but was told that since its a S model they won't be able to do 6%.

So it looks like I need: 1. Adjusted CAP cost. 2. To see money factor numbers. 3. Inquire about how the rebate is being applied. 4. Ask why the $1500 Audi to dealer is not being applied.

Thanks again for all you guys do. It is appreciated!

One note: the $1500 is a dealer incentive. It won’t be applied to your deal. But, it gives them the ability to cut the sale price.

Just wanted to let everyone know a deal I have worked up that I am trying to to get even lower. Maybe you can use it as leverage on your deals.

2018 S4 premium Plus. Daytona Gray.
    MSRP: $60,870
    36 months/15k miles
True $0 down. $722 per month.
    Maine taxes in the payment.
I told them for $700 I’ll be on my way right now.
I also pay DMV excise tax of about $1,450 separately when they deliver the car.

    12k miles/$715

Dealers are are discounting the car more than I have ever seen in the past...I may have my first Audi real soon. :)
