Hi, I was quoted 0.00065 MF and 56%(36/12) or 53%(39/12) for 2018 Enclave Avenir. The dealer said the lease term was updated on Nov. This will make the deal more expense than originally I thought with MF 0.00061 and 58% (36/12) or 56%(39/12). I am in Massachusetts and the dealer is in New Hampshire. Can you help to advise the lease term for Nov?

Hi. I’m looking at a 2018 Avenir as a part of the Costco program. The supplier price (which you get through Costco) for a model with MSRP of $56,710 is $54,124. In addition, I am eligible for $1,250 in incentives. I reside in OH and am looking for 39/15k lease. Can you please let me know the terms I should receive from the dealer assuming these figures. Thanks much as always.

I wouldn't put 2700 extra upfront.
Leave that out, and take the extra $70/mo. on the payment.

Hi,

I"m interested in a 2018 Enclave Avenir trim. I have a GM employee discount through a family.

Since the car is brand new, it is true that the dealers will not be moving from the MSRP price?

Also, I will be moving to Florida from Ohio in a month, this is a permanent move. Is there any reason not to lease a car here and take it to Florida? Is there a reason to wait to lease the car in Florida?

You should always target a discount from sticker. These aren't that rare.

And, if you're getting a GM Employee discount, that may be better than any discount you can negotiate on your own.

OH collects the sales tax up front, on a lease. FL taxes the monthly payment. Not sure if you'll get a refund of your pre-paid sales tax when you move.

OTOH, OH caps the dealer doc fee at $250; FL is the wild west when it comes to doc fees - I've seen them as high as $899.

Likely a wash, but you'd have to run the numbers from both states to see if there is an advantage to one or the other.

1) That won't matter
2) You'll be able to return the car in the state where you have it registered.

I wouldn't lease in Ohio if I were moving in a month. As noted, you'll have to pay sales tax upfront in Ohio. Then, when you re-register the car in Florida, you'll pay tax on the monthly payment.

It's either 56% or 58% for 36/12 on the Enclave, depending on trim.

Hi. Looking for 2018 premium in 33027 and they are giving me a residual of 51% for 12k for 39 months ...but i see above it should be 54 or 56. Is 36 months less residual? Can you confirm? Thanks!

Sorry I’m just trying to figure out the best route here...i want the premium...with the higher residual, wouldn’t that mean lesser payments?

. I feel these dealerships are always trying to take advantage of the women not really knowing what they’re doing so I’m trying to educate myself. I do not want the Essence. I prefer the Premium as it has more options. TIA

1.56% APR (equivalent to .00065 MF) is correct.

With a 3% spread between 36 and 39 months, the payments should be pretty close to equal. Less depreciation for 36 months, but also less months to spread it across. Given equal payments, I'd pick the shorter term.

But my lease on my 2016 ram is coming up soon. and Ive got 4 vehicles that Im looking at at multiple trim levels.. . likely going to pick the one with the best monthly price. I am leaning towards a very capable SUV..
