Hi All, is $63,000 for a 2018 SQ5 Prestige with every package available except the Warm Weather Pack a good deal? I believe MSRP is $70,000.

Working with two dealers right now. I live in WA but the dealer giving me the best deal (at least what seems to be the best deal) is in Oregon. They are calculating based on WA tax. I replied back asking why the tax quoted is over 10% since the sales tax rate in WA is 10%.

Is this a decent deal? Supposed to be 8% off MSRP for Premium Plus. I asked to send a quote for Prestiege as well and I was told they can also do 8% off MSRP for Presteige

10% off MSRP is a good discount for Audi.

Where is the reference to the acquisition fee?

I think there is a small surcharge to the sales tax when you lease - I've seen other folks refer to 10.3% in WA.

8% off MSRP is a decent discount; we generally recommend 6%.

The Premium Plus is a better deal, given that the residual is 2% higher than the Prestige.

Thanks. I will ask about the acquisition fee. I hear you on the residual for the p+ BUT I really like what comes with the prestige.  The hud and bigger wheels in particular.

Hi, I am looking at a ex-loaner lease on a 2018 Q5 PP in Southern NJ/PA. How should I think about the residual since the car isn't new and has $6K miles? What would the MF be? 36/12 lease. Thanks!!

    .00155 and 56% for 36/12

There will be an adjustment to the residual for the miles - looks like .15/mile is the rate. Therefore, subtract $900 from the calculated residual.

Can you please provide me the rv mf for Q5 P+ for April 2018 Texas

Hi Could I please get the MF and RV for both Prestige and Premium plus for a 10/36, 10/24,
12/36, and 12/24? Also any rebates or incentives for Northern CA?

Is doing a 36 mos lease better than 24 mos?  Are these good MF and RV rates for leasing or are they high/low? Trying to understand if this is a good car to lease or is it better to purchase or are there better cars in this category that lease better?  Leasing is very new to me so any explanation would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Hello can someone help me determine if this is a good deal in GA for a Q5 base at 36/10k

    MSRP: 47,340
    Price: 41,659

    MF: .00210
    Residual: 26,983

Seems like the price is good but is offset by the MF.

    Thank you!

So, you would still be responsible for any end of lease charges when you return the BMW? That's a risk....

And, $5000 up front is risky if the car is stolen or totaled.

If you've signed and taken delivery, not much you can do about it now.

Hello! I'm currently negotiating a lease for a 2018 Q5 Premium (I live in Denver). I feel like based on the MSRP and Adjusted CAP cost numbers, the monthly payment is still high and numbers don't add up (especially when I compare it to some of the lease deals posted here). Also, this does not include Audi Care and when I asked to have it added to the payment, they said it would add $30/month to the $527 below. I thought Audi care in avg was $12/month since it ups the residual value by 1%, is this not correct?

    36 months lease / 10K miles a year

    MSRP $45,950
    Adjusted Price $40,700
Money down $3,000 (to cover taxes and fees)
    Adjusted CAP Cost $37,700
    Residual value 26,191.50
    Money factor .00162

    Monthly Payment (Pre-Tax) $482
    Monthly payment (After Tax) $527

    Thanks!

    .00155 MF and 57% residual

Tax in Colorado is collected on the monthly payment.
$3000 upfront is just a nice big round number to make your payment seem smaller.

The money factor seems strange... no dealer would bother marking up the money factor by just .00007.

I doubt that your actual adjusted CAP cost is $37,700. If $40,700 is the selling price, and you are putting $3000 upfront, then I don't see the acquisition fee, dealer fee, and DMV fees.
Those amounts, along with the first payment, should be deducted from the $3000, before using any excess as CAP cost reduction.

Ask the dealer for the actual Adjusted CAP cost, and an itemization of all other costs/fees, in addition to the sale price. I would guess the actual adjusted CAP is closer to $40K, and the payment is pretty close.

You are correct about AudiCare. It's $869, and it adds 1% to the residual, making your actual cost about $12-$13/mo. Either they didn't bother calculating it, or they are just trying to take advantage of you.

Good afternoon, I’m turning in my 2015 Q5 this month and looking at a 2018 Q5 premium plus, MSRP $52,050 in North Carolina.

can you provide the MF/RV for 10/36 and 12/36

The dealer website is showing $1000 returning customer and $1000 special finance with Adj cap cost at 50,945 before negotiations and the disposition fee is waived. I saw early 6% below MSRP is approximate target price is that after the $2k in offers?

thanks so much for your assistance!

Just went to the Audi dealer today inquiring for a lease for 2018 Q5 Premium with conv pkg only. 10k/36 months. MSRP was 43,875 adjusted down to $40,375. They stated the MF was 0.00223 but didn't get me the residual value. Can you give me the residual value for Las Vegas, NV area and confirm the MF please?

With their calculations, monthly payments with $2000 down is still $670 which is still seems quite high to me. Just wanted to double check. Thank you for your help.

Big markup to the MF. Adding $45/mo to the payment.

And, what does the $2000 up front get you? We recommend only paying the first payment and any registration costs when you sign the paperwork.

Could someone look at this deal and let me know what they think.

    Premium 36/10 msrp $43,875

    negottiated price: 38,676

    Sale Tax: 8.75%

    Down Payment: 2,500

    Amount Owned on Trade-in: 4,000

Interest rate (APR): 3.720% per year

    Lease Term: 36 months

    Residual Value: 25,008.75

    Net Cap cost $41503.28

    Monthly Depreciation Fee: 458.18

    Monthly Lease Fee: 103.09

    Monthly Payment (no tax): 561.27

    Monthly Tax: 49.11

    Total Monthly Payment: 610.38

    What state is this?

Audi dealers don't use an APR percentage for lease quotes, and converting it yourself just confuses the issue.

.00155 is the base MF (which equates to 3.72%, so at least we know the dealer isn't marking it up on you).

$4000 of negative equity will add over $100/mo to any payment quote, and Audis do not lease well to begin with.

$600/mo is a big payment for a $43K compact SUV.

The only thing in your favor on this deal is the discount - 12% is pretty nice. We generally tell folks to target 6% off MSRP.

What is the breakdown of the $2500 due at signing?

Hello - comparison shopping two cars, interested in the MF / RV for a Premium (+) in IL.
Specifically interested in RV for an 18k lease (but will take 15k if you don't have 18.)

Also - want to confirmI've got the Audi MSD info right Audi will accept a Max of 9, each decreasing MF by 0.00005 equating in a decrease of -0.00045 ( so assuming I've pulled the right MF from previous posts: 0.0015-0.0045 = new MF of 0.0011)

    Thanks in advance!

That is a good question. This is California, does the net cap cost make sense? I thought it should be lower when you subtract the $2500 from it. These are the number I was presented I feel the net cap is off. Is there a lease bonus right now for Q5?

Just went to the Audi dealer today inquiring for a lease for 2018 Q5 Premium with conv pkg only. 10k/36 months. MSRP was 43,875 adjusted down to $40,375. They stated the MF was 0.00223 but didn't get me the residual value. Can you give me the residual value for Las Vegas, NV area and confirm the MF please?

With their calculations, monthly payments with $2000 down is still $670 which is still seems quite high to me. Just wanted to double check. Thank you for your help.

    .00155 and 60%

Big markup to the MF. Adding $45/mo to the payment.

And, what does the $2000 up front get you? We recommend only paying the first payment and any registration costs when you sign the paperwork.
I figured, I even asked them if it was marked up and they said no. Thanks for the info. In your opinion, should I go back to them with the .00155 figure out just find another dealer? There are only 2 in town here.
Tell them you want the base rate, or you walk. They know what the base rate is.

You may have to travel to SoCal to get a good deal.
Will there be an issues if I lease a Q5 in SoCal but live in Nevada? Thanks for all your help btw!

Shouldn't be on a lease.. as CA taxes the monthly payment, just like Nevada. You may have to avoid making any sort of CAP reduction, though.
