What is best Audi Financial Services APR on a purchase of a Q5 right now?  Dealer is offering 3.49%. I have 2.49% on my 2016 A3 currently.

Anybody? Thought this would be pretty easy to answer.

3.49% is what our documents show from AFS.

Interest rates are creeping up, nationally. No surprise that they are higher than what you got in 2016.

Thanks. That's what I figured. I do know interest rates have been creeping up. The A3 is a CPO purchased only 9 months ago. Was just hoping there may be something in between like 2.99% or similar. I'll update with pricing after I sign. I think I'm getting a pretty good deal.

What should MF and residual be for Q5 P+ in Long Island, NY 11735 for 36/10, no money down? Current Q7 owner, dealer is telling me 51% residual which seems very low!

Michaell, thanks for all this info, is there really a 5% lower residual in NY vs NJ for 36 month 10k lease or are the numbers backwards?

So same MF, but residuals in NY are lower than other states? What if a NY resident leases from an out of state dealer? I know sales tax is based on home state (registration), but which lease rates apply?

Hello, I was looking for 2018 Audi Q5 Premium+ in Jacksonville, FL area.
    MSRP: 52k
    Final price:46k (including 1000 bonus)
    Documentation fee: 895
    Title & other fees: 700
    Down: 3k
Monthly: 638 inclusive taxes (florida tax 7%)
    RV:29135
    Term:36/12
MF was not given and their sales person was aggressive to close the deal and offered above, where as my offer was 550+ audi care, he said it will not work.

    Any suggestions?

Is $3000 the full amount due at signing?

FL dealers are famous for hefty dealer fees and other egregious add-ons. That can kill the benefit of that big discount pretty quickly. The difference between $550 and $638 is $3000, so not a small difference.

On another note, I recently spent a week in your area, and the weather sucked. Try to fix that. ;)

Thanks a lot for your quick response, yeah 3Kis full amount due at signing (including documentation fee and other dealer fees)

I come from Seattle, in Florida to help my cousin buy his first car. You are correct about the add-on's there are a lot of unnecessary add-ons which are not really required. Looks like MF is very high in our case, I gave them a call back to check where they are on the offer.

Will keep you posted, this is forum is really useful to understand RV,MF, Lease terms. Thanks a ton for keeping many of us educated about the mystery terms dealers use.

    Dealer offered
    MSRP 53,235
    Adjusted: 47003
    DLR Service Charge $599
    GA TAX $2912
    Non tax fees $47

    48/15K $693 a month, $1500 down

    MF 0.00217
    residual 47% ($25,020)

Thinking they are jacking up the MF

Can I ask for 0.00156? I don't think I can get anymore off the car itself.

    Hello,

I put down a $1000 on this Q5 (image attached - Premium Plus MSRP $46475, Sale price $42,187 and a $1000 bonus off the lease down payment) yesterday in 07302. I felt that it was a good deal, please correct me if I'm wrong. MF is 0.00155 and lease payment comes to $486 for a 7500miles/annum lease for 36 months. Down payment of $3800 includes a weird $895 bank fee (not sure if this is standard). Delivery of the vehicle is in 2nd week of June.

I graduated last year, though I did not get any discount for this (although Audi has some graduate program that offers financing). $1000 off was only on leasing or financing via Audi at 4%. I went for the lease (can still change if anyone recommends to do so)

Any advice would be recommended. Thank you so much for the help!

Yes, its a total amount at signing. Its AFS Acquisition fee ($895) + Car Taxes ($2794) + First month payment ($486) + Dealer Fees ($499) - $1000 = $3800. I dont remember if DMV fees were there in that payment or not. The sales didnt want to give me the complete sheet for some reason!

It can't hurt. Most purchase programs fix the price; not sure if you can do better on your own.

The bonus is an Audi to dealer incentive, and likely part of any offer they make to you.

You want 6% off MSRP, before the incentive.

Dealers don't want you to have too much information. Kinda makes their job tougher.

That's a lot of up front cash. Even though it will make the payment higher, we recommend adding the acquisition fee, the dealer fee, and the taxes into the payment. But, you won't be risking that up front cash if the car is stolen or totaled.

Hello, I was looking for 2018 Audi Q5 Premium+ in Jacksonville, FL area.
    MSRP: 52k
    Final price:46k (including 1000 bonus)
    Documentation fee: 895
    Title & other fees: 700
    Down: 3k
Monthly: 638 inclusive taxes (florida tax 7%)
    RV:29135
    Term:36/12
MF was not given and their sales person was aggressive to close the deal and offered above, where as my offer was 550+ audi care, he said it will not work.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot for your quick response, yeah 3Kis full amount due at signing (including documentation fee and other dealer fees)

I come from Seattle, in Florida to help my cousin buy his first car. You are correct about the add-on's there are a lot of unnecessary add-ons which are not really required. Looks like MF is very high in our case, I gave them a call back to check where they are on the offer.

Will keep you posted, this is forum is really useful to understand RV,MF, Lease terms. Thanks a ton for keeping many of us educated about the mystery terms dealers use.
I'll give you a pass, then. We were in Seattle on Labor Day last year, and it was 95 F and hazy from the forest fires.
Yeah last Year was pretty bad with wild fires from Oregon and Canada.
Btw here is how the final numbers came for the Q5 premium lease.
Final Price: 46K Including audi case (navera blue, navigation added)
Acquisition fee, audi financial fee and taxes: 2359
    MF: 0.00155
    RV:57%
Monthly payment: 617 (including florida tax) However none of the online calculators matched the MF they quoted with the monthly payment. ( I think I need more information how Lease calculator works)

Dealer came back with this below. Doesn't seem right. Not sure I fully understand the calculator. I put in numbers w/o trade in 47K for price, .00205 MF and $26,617 for residual and I get $647/mo with $500 down.. Are they adding something in for the trade? I'm paying the difference in cash as you can see with the cash down amounts.

Looks like you are $7000 upside down on your trade
    +$599 dealer fee
    +$400 tax
    +$895 acquisition fee
    +$777 1st payment
    -$6500 upfront cash

That's almost $3200 you have to add to the adjusted CAP cost.

But, the payment is still too high.
Plus, your money factor is marked up from .00175

Why do this, if you are $7K upside down on your current vehicle? If you have $6500 in cash, you can certainly keep making the payments and repairs.

This is a bad deal, and you are in a bad position to trade.

They way I look at it, I’m likely to put another 7k in repairs into my current vehicle before it’s paid off. I’ve already put ~10k in repairs/maintenance into it. Also, when I bought it, I didn’t put anything down, so I feel like I’m just paying it on the backend. I made a bad purchase with my current car.

Plus (i know, I know) I just want something new. It might be better to wait the 3 years until it’s paid off, but I’m afraid it won’t be.
