Thanks for sharing... Where in the midwest did you strike that deal? I'm in Chicago looking for a payment in that neighborhood.

This is in Omaha and we signed the deal. I feel like in Chicago you could do better, though not sure what your tax rate is (it's 7.25% here and we pay on the monthly not up front). I'd have preferred to pay at or below invoice but that would have meant trying KC or the Twin Cities I reckon.

looking at your mazda 3 you show payment before tax of 289. If MSRP is 26970 and cap cost 23408 - shouldn't your payment be closer to $270 before tax (MF .00001 and R 51%)

Holy cow you are right. I see what I did wrong when using the lease calculator -- I was adding the acquisition fee when it was already built in to the cap (that gives me $289). Figures. Shoot, add that to not getting below invoice and now I wonder -- but we ALWAYS pay more here than bigger cities, which is why we sometimes make the drive if the numbers are vastly better (if $612 is worth that is a personal call).
