Not a bad deal - at least, not that we can state with certainty.

Likely just missing information; what you need from them is the adjusted cap cost.

MF is marked up the max amount, before applying the MSDs.

$678/mo if I use the base MF, then adjust for MSD. $714/mo with the marked up MF

Ask the dealer what cap cost they are using for their quote, and how they got there from the adjusted price.

I'm waiting for his reply. Can you tell me how you came to $678/mo?

Edit: The cap cost is probably 51025

Thanks for the explanation. It was very helpful.

The dealer confirmed the monthly payment ($664) already includes tax and the cash due ($2,000) includes first payment, acquisition fee, license fee and document fee.

It seems that the deal has some hidden factors as I cannot come to the $664 even if I set the MF to 0.00131. Could the deal has trap?

Otherwise it might not be a bad deal?

Any help would be appreciated. They did not include the $500 corporate rebate in there. Seems a bit high but I could have been off in my calculations. 10k/36 months in South Carolina 29205. I was told the 995 was the destination charge. Thanks in advance.

If they are breaking out the destination charge, that's just sleight of hand. That just means your actual discount is $4815, not $5810.

If I add in the $925 acquisition fee, I get a payment of $765/mo.
To get their payment, I have to bump the MF to .00190

No issue with the discount, even when adding back in the $995.

But, the money factor bump is adding about $23/mo.

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost, instead of the "Purchase Option" price they have on the right.

You have to balance the discount against any possible markup to the money factor.
If they markup the money factor by .00040, they can discount the car by another 1.5%, and still break even.

The additional items include: $158 doc prep, $33 title fees, $673 first payment, $162 license fees, $24 registration, there were also two add-ons $399 paint and fabric protection and $259 for permaplate theft protection. I’m not a fan of dealer add-ons but the paint and fabric protection are worth it given the cost of the vehicle and the upgraded leather seats. I refuse to pay for the permaplate so I made them discount the car further to offset the cost. My original offer was $47,500.

I figured they marked up the money factor to offset the additional discount I asked for which sucks but Overall is this a fair deal?

One thing I’ll add is the car has Luxury packages added and is fresh from the factory, so I assume that’s what they are trying to make up for the additional $2000 discount asked for from their initial best price.
