I’m looking at a Q5 premium plus MSRP @ $53,300. Would like to know the RV and MF for 85705 and 85255 and incentives at 36/12k.

In reading this forum I’m seeing a lot of people getting almost $6,000, or 10%-12%, off MSRP; is this a realistic goal?

Intension is to keep the lease payment in 500 range.
Not a good idea? (first time lease )

If you are renting a car monthly, then pre-paying it to lower the payment only serves to obscure your true cost.

If you rent a $1000/mo. apartment, and give them $6000 upfront, then you can say you only pay $500/mo. for rent, but it's still $1000/mo.

I'd guess that the CAP reduction is coming from the rebate.
If your Due on Delivery is $799, you aren't making a CAP cost reduction.

Assuming 8.5% tax rate, the payment looks about right.
What are you using for the adjusted CAP cost?

7.95% tax. The rebate makes sense about the cost reduction. I’m not sure what the adjust CAP cost is or how to determine that. What I posted is the numbers I was given on the quote sheet.

So that payment is accurate then...hmmm...I’m getting $650...I wonder what numbers I’m missing that maybe they didn’t include on the quote.

So unless I get them down in price, which I don’t see happening anymore, that will be the payment?

Without knowing the CAP cost, we can't really tell you. Could be all sorts of profit making junk in that number.

First payment only due at signing is a good thing, however.

Reversing the math, the cap cost would have to be in the neighborhood of $50,500 to get a payment of $685/mo. That is $4100 more than your sellng price.

$895 bank fee
$2724 taxes (assuming 6%)

That's $3600 right there. A dealer doc fee of $499 could make up the difference.

Confirm my suspicions with the dealer; if they are correct, then it looks like a decent deal.

You stated that you calculated a lower payment. You have to have the adjusted CAP to calculate a payment, that's why I wondered what number you used?

There is no way to avoid the acquisition fee, despite what the dealer tells you.

Ask them for the adjusted cap cost used for their quote, and how they got there from the selling price.

Last, we recommend you only pay the first payment and registration costs at signing. Leave the rest of the cash in your pocket.

I wouldn't want to put that much money upfront on a lease.
With $3000 less upfront, your payment would be $589/mo.
