What is the MF and RV with 39/10k in Florida for 2018 M550? Any dealer incentives? If no info on 39/10 I will be interested in 36/10.

Working a deal right now on a 2018 M550i. Previous Exec Demo with 5K miles on it. Sticker was $92K give or take and asking price is about $76K.

What is current residual and Money Factor? Zip Code 91362

Last numbers i have from the dealer (and he hasn't shared everything yet) is Residual is $51,274 (which seems low) and MF is .0222 (which seems high). I think we are very close and i've bought a bunch of cars from this dealer so i'm confident i can work this deal to where i need it just need the Edmunds touch! Thx!

FYI--payment on above deal is being quoted as $978 including tax with $5k out of pocket.

    What term/mileage allowance?
Does it have 5000+ mi. or under 5000 miles? That is an important distinction.

36/12 for terms and i do not know on miles--i think it might be over 5000 miles--can you let me know what the difference is between the two?

I always thought that 10000 miles determined if a car could be leased as new or not, didn't realize there was a different distinction at 5000 miles as well.

I just confirmed 5400 miles on the car.

    That hurts.
    New:
    .00182 MF and 60% residual
    $1000 lease credit

    5400 miles:
    .00182 MF
    56% residual (minus $1350) Effectively 54.5% residual.
    No lease credit

That makes the residual on the loaner about $5000 less than a new model, more or less.
    Plus, you've lost the $1000.
    Starting out $6000 behind.

Assuming fees and first payment upfront.
    $5000 upfront =
    1st payment
    $925 acquisition fee
    $1100 DMV/doc fee
    $2000 CAP reduction.

    $890/mo.+tax.
That's pretty close to their calculation, though I have a lower residual.

Knowing the adjusted CAP cost would help.
(and actual numbers, not rounded off)

    Just got the sample contract.

They changed the terms to 36/10 so that's battle #1

This deal was written with 1st payment only plus DMV and Fees (Total Drive off of $1990.92)

    Original MSRP: 92,110
    Adjusted Cap Cost: 76,905.14
    Residual: 51,274.45
    Rent Charge: 10,244.10

    Base Monthly Payment: $996.53 + $72.25 Tax Total $1068.78

Claims that this is using a Money Factor of .00222

I get the same payment. That money factor markup adds about $60/mo. to the total payment.

Just tell them they have to get you under $1000/mo. with the same drive-off. Because, your wife says so.. ;)

I basically told him that--as he tried to convince me i was getting such a great car (which it is) at a ridiculous price and that giving up the new car incentives was a "wash". I replied back that i wouldn't be buying a $92K M550i new--more like $87K probably and that plus the incentives and lost residual might make it more appealing to work a deal on a new car unless he goes back to the drawing board.

Told him he was supposed to be quoting me 12K miles and now that the car is over 5K miles it has lost a year of it's maintenance plan. Being a performance car, BMW will sell me the gap year that i lost plus full coverage for brakes/rotors and pads for 3 years for $3K--which is probably worth it.

I told him that he should go back and lower the Money Factor to normal rate, and lower the price of the car to help offset the Maintenance warranty and we are probably there.

Stay tuned. I think if i can get this car for at or near $1,000 it's a great deal-agreed?

    Newest Deal:

    36/12

Includes 4 year maintenance plan covers all brakes/rotors and pads ($2359)
Includes wheel & tire warranty ($1675)

    Selling price of car: 75,991
    Adjusted Cap Cost: 80,950
    Residual Value: 51,714
    Rent Charge: 8,692
    Base Monthly Payment: $1053.56
    Tax: $76.38
    Total Payment: $1129.24

My thought is to at least pay one of the two contracts up front and not pay finance charges on them and lower the payment? Thoughts?

With the $4K off maintenance/warranty, you are basically at $1000/mo, so that's a decent deal, assuming it's the same upfront money

The savings of finance charges on that amount of money isn't worth worrying about, either way.
