Has anyone tried to change the AC actuator under the driver side on a 2004 Buick Rainier?
There is a steel strut in the way, and I can't remove it. Is there a trick to getting the actuator out without removing the strut? Thanks
Marv

If this step by step doesn't fit your car, it's still a good forum to post your question over there at trailvoy.com.5 -

The easiest way to do that is to pull the drivers front seat, center console, steering column and then remove the carrier just enough to get access to the actuator. GM's service information instructs technicians to remove the carrier completely but with a little ingenuity you don't have to do that much work.5
