Michaell, dealer is quoting me "Rate" of .00110 and Residual of .63 for 24 months on 2018 F Type R and .00025 and .58 on 33 month using JP Morgan. That seems to be a bit different than we discussed yesterday and is JP Morgan the Jaguar official lease lender? But down in the "Profit" Block they show "Buy Rate" of .00001, Front gross of $1008.48 and "Back Gross" of $980.36. Overall MSRP $112, 519, Discount $15,000, Fees $2110.20, sales Tax $357.86 for a "Cost" of $99,310.52 There is also an entry of "Dealer Cash" of $2800 but I don't see that being added or subtracted so it may be a notation of some type.

Chase is the same as Jaguar Finance.

Buy rate is the base MF; that's the number you want them to use. Anything higher represents profit to the dealer.

Thanks once again. Do the "Fees" numbers look out of line? I'm used to 600-900 for an acquisition fee but (and I haven't asked yet) what the $2110 figure is. If it includes all their "document fees. etc" that might be a bit easier. Any thoughts?

Jaguar acquisition fee is $795.

Likely a big dealer doc fee in there.

Registration costs?

Best to get the details from the dealer.

I'll do that but thanks for the confirmation on the acquisition cost for jaguar, the $2110 in Fees and the MF.
Just got the reply. On the lease they also show a "Front Gross"of $1098 and a "Back Gross" 0f $980. Looking at my wife's recent MB lease the costs are similar except the $400 Tag. I didn't ask but assume I will get back diff between actual and the $400. The MF explanation just sounded odd in that to me it just says "Yeah that's the rate but we are marking it up for another $980 profit."Your thoughts?:

The doc fee is just extra revenue for the dealer. Typical for Florida
Lease surcharge is a government fee. $20/yr for a lease
I'd guess the $400 tag fee is a rounded up figure that adds a little profit. I doubt the FL registration/title adds up to $400.

They are being upfront, at least. They are adding about $30/mo. to your payment by marking up the money factor. Essentially, taking back part of the discount.
