I am looking to lease 2018 S5 Sportback Prestige is this a good deal - MSRP 68,900 Negotiated price 62,200 $0 down payment 36 month 12K/yr $1027 per month I am thinking I am getting killed in interest. What should the MF and RV be in 60003 area? Thanks!
.00183 and 57% $500 lease cash $0 down or $0 due at signing They aren't the same thing. Is that a City of Chicago ZIP code? If so, your quote may include both state tax as well as city tax - about 17% combined. As is, those prices give me a payment of $823/mo. Assumes all taxes and fees are paid up front. Get the CAP cost the dealer is using for their payment quote, and an accounting of how they got there from the negotiated price.

    Thank you!
$0  for down payment. $400 for document and dealer fees - not sure what this is but they told me that's all I need to pay as everything else is included in the monthly payment. i will find out more tomorrow.

I live outside of chicago so i only need to pay 8% sales tax

    Thanks again!

Adding in the $895 acquisition fee, $849/mo.+tax, or about $917/mo.

Appears to be a massive markup to the money factor (maybe, .00283).
Either that, or a lot of garbage added to the price.

Yes, that calculation is using the .00183 MF

We don't track pricing, so can't tell you if the sale price can go lower.

New to the forums and looking to get honest feed back. Recently did a 36/10 on an ‘18 S5 sportback Prestige, fully loaded and added AudiCare. Msrp was $67,750. Here’s the breakdown of the deal...did I get a good deal or got shafted?! Thanks!

    What state?
    $5000 out of pocket?

$4370 difference between agreed value and Gross CAP. Do you have a breakdown of that amount?

.00194 MF and 59% residual (including AudiCare)
Maryland tax answers the Gross CAP question.

Was this lease with the August program?
If so, .00183 MF and 60% residual (which is the residual on your contract)

It appears that they marked up your money factor from .00183 to .00243, adding $60/mo. to the payment
That's a big discount from MSRP, though

Great thanks that’s the numbers so quickly, much appreciated.

Prestige is such a bad lease option (if you don’t care about HUD, DAP, top view). However think I’m getting a good deal.

    Prestige s5 sportback
    msrp: 65950
    selling: 58400 (1000 loyal 500 LC)
    base MF
    residual: 38910.50
    36 month 7,500
    Montly: 730

my old deal was 685 a month but included a 1300 outlay for my last two if 5 montly payments on current lease.

    Other deal

premium plus exact same options and color
    Msrp 64990
    selling 57500 (1000,500)
    base mf
    residual 39645
    monthly: 685
    additional our of pocket 1300

if I take that 1300 and cap cost reduce the other deal it’s 691 (which I won’t cap reduce a lease)

so for a prestige thats 900 more msrp with worse residual for me it’s only a 6 dollar difference a month essentially.

I dont see getting a 2019 prestige for this price. Thoughts overall are welcome

We generally advise folks to avoid leasing the Prestige trim levels for any Audi model. If you can option up a P+ to be close to a prestige, that's the route I'd go.

(but, that road is closed to me, since I don't play in that price bracket)

thanks for the feedback. And I agree 100% about prestige being a terrible deal normally, losing 2% residual or an equal msrp is awful. However, In my instance I’m “saving 1300 more” with them covering 5 payments instead of the 3. Also overall thoughts on the discount? I think after reading through most of the posts in this thread over a year it’s really, really solid.

No crystal ball of course but I wonder when the 2019 programs numbers will be released? They would be good to know.

I know I can get 6-7% off msrp on a 19 with Acna. I cant see the residual on the P+ getting worse, 61% for 36/7 is already not great. My lease is up in March 2019 and have time.

Sorry im struggling with the decision :)

We don't track pricing - our recommendation is to target 6% off MSRP, before incentives.

    No information on 2019 availability.

I'd hold off and lease when your current one expires; that's one less variable you have to factor in.

Did you get a good deal? Be sure to come back and let us know! Post a pic of your new purchase or lease!

Leased an S5 Sportback Prestige in Dallas
    MSRP $67750
    36 Months, 10K per month
$890 per month 0 out of pocket just walked out with the car.
    Included Audicare
The MF is marked up a lot but they reduced the MSRP, could have been able to get to 850 but compared to other dealers these guys gave a low price out of the gate and I went with it.
Not many P+ available in the market as suggested by Michaell unless custom order.
