Trans slipping

I have a 2007 CTS 3.6 and when I’m at highway speeds and accelerate, it disengages and then slams into gear, but not in lower speeds

    Any codes showing in the TCM (Transmission Control Module)? Has anyone checked the fluid level (you may have to go on a lift to do this).
