    I had a salesman tell me the MF is .00166 but they mark it up to .00206 and wouldn't likely do a .00166 offer. Also they wouldn't do it if you used MSD's to lower that rate as well. Can they do that? and what negotiation options do I have?

    Yes, they can do that...

    Your options are to insist, and if rebuffed, find another dealer.

    How do you determine the residual on a dealer demo? Is it a) just a lower residual percentage (eg 55% instead of 59%) b) a reduction in the price of the residual based on a formula of .25 cents per mile or c) a combination of both?

    I am looking at a lease on an 18 4 Gran Coupe with 7k miles

    With 7000 miles, the residual is adjusted thusly:

    1. Standard residual is lowered by 4%
    2. .25/mile deducted from that adjusted number ($1750)

    And....
    3. Any incentives that might be available are not because the car has over 5000 miles on it

    Correct - units with less than 5000 miles on them still qualify for the lease credit.

    Residual is adjusted down .25/mile, however.

    Also, there are 4000 miles on it. So I calculate the RV as say $50k msrp @53% = 26,500 - 1000 = 25,500 =51% ?

    Yes, deduct .25/mile for the demo miles (up to 4999), then subtract from the calculated residual, as you've done.

    Hi Michael,
    What would be the MF and RV on 2018 BMW 440i GC, 36 mo / 12 k for the zip 33966?
    The dealer is quoting me res of 55%, msrp is 63815 , rebates/discounts - 7824 it comes to 55991 , fees (doc fee - 799,tax 464, non tax fee- 1532) , cap cost - 54571, mf is 0.0022
