Once engine warms up, it won’t move

I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. When the engine is cool, it’ll run perfectly fine. Once it warms up, it doesn’t want to move. What could be the problem?

You mean the transmission won't engage in any gear?

It won’t engage when it heats up. When it gets up to temperature it won’t move.

Could be a lot of things. First of all, it's always a good idea to check the fluid level and get that possibility out of the way.

Then you could go one of two ways here. It's possible that on an old car like this, that the transmission filter hasn't been serviced in a long time. So a fluid change and filter service might be one "guess" that wouldn't cost too much if you were wrong.

Other than that, what comes to mind is some kind of internal pressure leak, which would have to be diagnosed with a pressure test, done at an automatic transmission specialist.
