It’s almost impossible to time the market.

And, if the MF goes down, the residual usually does, as well

I’m at the dealership now and im rolling in $4k negative equity. They said best they can do is $585. 2k down on a limited.

Is it possible to be at $500 36/12k with 0 down with the negative equity for a lower trim like the limited?

With that much negative equity, it might not be the best time to lease a car, in any case.

I don't see any issues. The only way lower is with a bigger discount from MSRP

Every dealer is out of stock on the is model/color, waiting on delivery. They want a deposit, but the said the MF could adjust by Subaru since we are getting to the end of the month, before the car is delivered. Is there any way to ensure a rate lock? i.e. sign, but then they have the liability before I take possession.

Yes, .00140 for tier 1.

Consider yourself lucky; the dealer can mark up the MF as much as .00050.

However, they cannot mess with the residual. Confirm the term and miles the dealer is quoting you.

I called them out on it and now they are recalculating everything with the proper factors. I’m sure they hate negotiating with a banker who works with financing on a daily basis. Thanks again.
