1997 Isuzu rodeo 3.2l misfire on #4 cylinder

I have a 97 Isuzu rodeo 3.2L that is definitely not firing on the number 4 cylinder. Holding the coil with a plug in it won't spark. I can also unplug the coil when it's running and no change in the rough idle. I have two new plugs and coils I've tried this with and no dice. The warning code it puts up is p0300 (random cylinder misfire). What should I try next? I'm sort of at a loss. Any help would do me good.

Compression test on that cylinder would be in order.

If that's good, then switch the "bad coil" with a cylinder that IS firing and see if the trouble code follows the cylinder #.
