More on the better end of a deal? Or do you think there was to room to bring it down? They also paid off my last A3 payment.

Audi has just an average lease program, and with you rolling everything into the monthly payment, I'd say it's on the better end of the scale.

What is $750 SOA Credit? Is everyone eligible for this credit?

Also if I add Audi Care will the residual increase by 1%. I experienced this in my prior leases with Audi not sure if they are still offering this. Also how much would Audi Care cost for Q5?

Anyone know if AFS had $1500 lease bonus cash in November 2018 for 90275? I see postings in other parts of the country.

Audi of America is helping investigate why 19N4 recall Owner Appreciation $2000 incentive was not applied included in my deal when clearly printed on their own (and sister Fletcher Jones websites) thru November 30, 2018. After pointing that out- they now changed, but other Audi dealerships around the area/country still list it.

The dealer sales manager is suppose to reach out to me again and try to get this issue resolved. Just want to be armed with all potential scenarios- worse case (what I'm expecting), nothing is done.

No $1500 customer lease bonus in CA
Instead, dealers received a $2000 incentive from Audi.

    Hey kyfdx,

sorry for the missing infos, please see below.

    39 months
dealer hasn't fully revealed the selling price but said around $44K (after promo deduction)
have not received adjusted CAP cost either.

I am pretty much new to this and found it during my research.

I am going to find out more details this week though.

I just joined this site and posted this in its own topic, but found this so posting here as well! Sorry! :)

Hello! I currently lease a 2016 Audi A3. My lease is up in June 2019, and I only have about 3,000 miles left until I start going over my 42,000 mile allowance (and paying $0.25 per mile that I'm over). I am trying to get into a 2018 Q5, but "someone" has to cover the remaining $3,681 in lease payments on my A3. So they want to roll those payments into a new lease, which is outlined as follows:

    2018 Audi Q5 Premium Plus
    MSRP: $51,850
    DEALER CONTRIBUTION: $6,849.05
    SELLING PRICE: $45,000.95
FEES (title, license, doc fees): $396.94
    SALES TAX: $4,318.95
    REBATE: $3250
REMAINING PAYMENTS ON CURRENT LEASE: $3681
    NET SALES PRICE: $50,147.84

    MF - .001887
    RF - 46% at 48 months

    $2000 AT SIGNING
    48 MONTHS
    $659/MO INCL AUDI CARE
    INCLUDES 15K MILES/YEAR
Plus $1,000 coverage in wear and tear when car is turned in, plus 7,500 mile lease cushion

I live in Chicago also FYI. This seems pretty high to me, but I do still owe so much on my current car. Any advice?? I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

My advice? Keep the A3 until the lease is up. That's adding $100/mo to any payment.

I doubt you'll incur $3600 in mileage charges in 9 months (that would be 14,000 miles).

And, if you live in the Chicago city limits, I'd skip leasing altogether and just buy something. For a lease, you'll pay both state tax (on the sum of the payments) and city tax (on each monthly payment). Something like 17% total tax burden.

Thank you Michaell! The dealership keeps telling me the season of Audi deals will be over, the car will go up in price and I'm going to pay the same whether I lease now or in June so I should do it now. Do you find this to be true? Also, did not realize that about Chicago! I like leasing because I do want a new car every few years and I like the lower monthly payments. :) Don't really care about owning to be honest, but the tax thing I was not aware of!!!

In June, they likely won't be leasing the 2018 model, at all.

But, there will always be a deal on the next vehicle.

    Hello,
Can I please get the current RV and base MF for 42 month lease @ 10K per year on 2018 Audi Q5 Premium Plus. Also, are MSD still available? My dealer says not worth it, but if I can do 9 MSD and reduce MF by  0.00045 ( 9 x 0.00005) it may be a good investment, something like 6%, though not as good as the MSD from BMW when each SD was good for 0.00007, which came out to be 9% return.  My zip is 21117. Thanks.

    Hello,
Can I please get the current RV and base MF for 42 month lease @ 10K per year on 2018 Audi Q5 Premium Plus. Thanks.

We'd always recommend MSDs, exactly for the reasons you describe.

With the prices on that deal sheet, I'm within $1 of that payment.

I'd also skip the $3400 of cap reduction - it doesn't change the total cost of the lease, it just makes the payment look lower.

Structure the deal so that the only cash you fork over at signing is the first payment and any registration costs. Dealers like more up front cash because it makes the payment look smaller.

You'll have a higher payment, but you won't risk losing that up front cash if the car is stolen or totaled.

Audi's do not generally lease that well, so this is average. Only way to improve the payment is a lower selling price or to use MSDs.

    Michael,
The sales person told me in my state (Maryland) MSDs are “not worth it “. I’m not sure what he means by that. I’ve always taking advantage of this in the past with BMW. I’ll give the sales manager a call. At this point I’ve just put it deposit on my credit card and have inot closed the deal yet.

The terms that I have on 2018 Q5 Premium Plus with ( as per sticker)

    Manhattan grey $575
    Prem Plus pack $2700
    20 inch wheel    $1600
    Cold Weather.   $500
    Audi Beam ring  $250
    Cargo cover.      $225
    audi guard all weather
    floor mats           $200
    Apple Lightning and USB-C
    cables.                $110

    MSRP: $51,235

    Sale price $ 42,938
    MD Tax.     $ 2789
    Doc Fee.   $ 300
    Tag/Reg/Title $351

    0 down, first month only
    MF 0.00207 ( marked up by 0.0004)
    42 month/ 10K per year

    $643/ month x 42 months.

Thoughts. I’ll try leasematic to “ trust but verify” and calculate payment if I do 9 MSDs to drop MF by 0.00045 which should be 0.00162 if my math is correct.  I’m not sure why the dealer is trying to blow off the MSD‘s. I can’t imagine this affect their bottom line… I  checked with three separate dealers in Maryland and they all either told me that it doesn’t apply for this date or it’s not worth it. Are you aware of anything like that? It looks like my Deol as an excellent sale price though they baked some profit into the marked up money factor.  The bottom line on a leases only the monthly payment anyway.   Trying to figure out how much my payment goes down by giving them $5760 in security deposit that they hold for 42 months. I’m also not sure if 39 months is a sweeter spot for the lease though the payment sheet I was given shows at 42 months payment drops. This is my first time leasing an Audi and I understand that they usually do pull ahead 3 to 4 months early if you lease another one anyway. If my wife really likes the car I may purchase it at the end of the lease, not sure if Audi negotiates on the residual value either. Any comments?

    Thanks,

    Mitch

MSDs save money. And, anything that lowers the payment is an after-tax return. It's possible that using MSDs cuts the dealer's payout from AFS for writing the lease, but you are already accepting a markup.
Just ignore what they say about "not worth it". What would being in MD have to do with it?
    The math is the math.

Generally, banks won't negotiate the buyout price at lease end. If the car is really worth less, they'll just sell it to a dealer and let them benefit, rather than you.

It looks like a good chunk of that $4000 up front is going to CAP reduction.
