Yes, the tax rate is the same. "CAP tax" means the upfront tax was rolled into the CAP cost.

Do you have the adjusted CAP cost?

No predictions on whether the incentive survives to January or not, but you might want to do some research on the tax situation. NY taxes the lease payments up front, while CT taxes the monthly payment, I fear you may be paying taxes twice after you move.

I live in Tennessee but found one in Alabama that I really like. I was reading tax code in AL that there is no drive out provision on leases which I thought would mean I would only be charged taxes in Alabama which is low. Will they still charge me the same tax rate as if I leased in TN? Or will I be charged twice? Would the Money factor/residual come from the Birmingham zip code? If so what is that info.

What lease term and how many miles per year?

You will be responsible for taxes wherever you register the vehicle.

I'd suggest you talk with the dealer in AL, just to keep things straight.

LR numbers are national.

Hi - I'm wondering about the MF and residual value for a 2019 Velar P250 R-Dynamic SE in 20855.
We are looking at a 36 mo/12k or 39 mo/12k lease.
The MSRP is $66,981 -- sale price $63,899, and dealer is quoting $6,000 cash due and monthly payment of $985 for a 39 mo./12k mi lease. Seems high.

If we assume $6000 covers sales tax, DMV/doc, acquisition fee and first payment (which is probably close), then $843/mo.

Likely a massive increase to the money factor, by the dealer.
MD taxes don't help, as they tax the full vehicle sale price.

Taxes and fees should not equal $6K, but I'd ask for a specific breakdown of what that covers.

MF is likely marked up - a whole lot.

Which is typical for LR dealers.

What does the up front cash cover, specifically?

That is about as good a discount as I've seen on a Velar.

.00167 and 56%

Using your prices, I get $658/mo plus tax, so I'll guess some of the up front monies are being used as cap reduction.

Have them rewrite the quote with you giving them only the first payment and CA DMV costs up front - you'll have a higher payment, but less out of pocket. And you won't be at risk of losing that money if the car is stolen or totaled.
