im in san antonio 78258 area.
they are quoting my mf of .00236 and residual value of $38,886.
is this a good deal .... the final outcome is 6k down, 900 per month for 36 months with 12k miles.
is there any room to negotiate this deal ?

taxes, fees, wheel and tire ins, tint, clear bra front etc brings it to approx ~ 67450$
and as i mentioned the final outcome is 6k down, 900 per month for 36 months with 12k miles.

With the prices given, $1044/mo without the $6K down (using the $67,450 as the cap cost)

If I take the cap cost to $61,450, the payment drops to $864/mo

I'd confirm the actual adjusted cap cost the dealer used to get $900/mo.

Can you skip the wheel and tire insurance, tint and clear bra? Those are driving up the payment without a lot in return (you're paying for 100% of the tint and clear bra, and the insurance is likely marked up 100% or more over the dealer cost)

If I take the cap cost to $61,450, the payment drops to $864/mo

I'd confirm the actual adjusted cap cost the dealer used to get $900/mo.

Can you skip the wheel and tire insurance, tint and clear bra? Those are driving up the payment without a lot in return (you're paying for 100% of the tint and clear bra, and the insurance is likely marked up 100% or more over the dealer cost)

im checking right now with the dealer about not getting thoses options ... the tire and wheel insurance being charged is 1205 for 3 years and the clear bra is 1235. the clear bra i know is an option we can cancel. tints have been put on unfortunately. the wheel and tire insurance id like to take because the car has the 20 inch rims and low profile tires and im worried about the replacement cost of that if it gets damaged.

yes, so far he confirmed that .00236 is what they are using but i think the residual value they quoted me was 38886 - 36m/12k. it does come to 60% of $64810 which was the advertised msrp. but they are giving me a dealer discount/military disc of about 4500 which brings the cost to 60***. and then the taxes and all the remaining stuff brings the number to 67***. so out the door the car is 67***. (i put the * becasue im not sure about the exact numbers)

1) would you recommend not putting a heavy down payment and instead paying more per month ?
2) would you recommend me to still not get the clear bra option even at $1235 (advertised at $1995)
3) is 1205 high for wheel and tire ins for 3 years ?
4) any other tips ?

1. Correct - that up front cash would be lost if the car were stolen or totaled
2. The clear bras I've had added to my car were a lot less than $1235 - I get the attraction of it, but you're paying for 100% of that cost during the lease, which adds $34/mo to your payment. Continue to negotiate that price down, if you really want it
3. How much risk do you have in Texas? I'd understand the argument if it were NYC or Chicago, but the roads are pretty decent there, right?
4. The lease program on the S5 Sportback is probably below average, so you'll end up with a high payment, regardless. Adding on the extra stuff just makes it worse. And, the tax against the entire selling price doesn't help, either.
