I'll answer the last question first - wait until your current lease is up, then shop for a new car.

That $1500 has to go somewhere, and it's likely to find it's way into the new deal. Do you want to be paying those last 3 payments over the next 3 years?

At some point, Audi will stop supporting lease programs for the 2018 model. But, I can't tell you when that will be.

Occasionally, banks offer Texas sales tax credits. I think this is money they receive from the state, as credit on their lease returns. The only way for them to use the money is to offer it to new lessees, as a credit against their sales tax.

When offered, it's usually 5%, dropping the sales tax to just 1.25%. Since Texas collects sales tax on the full selling price, it's a substantial incentive.

However, I do not know if the credits are being offered now. You'd have to check with a dealer.

While that might be the total sales tax number, the tax is collected monthly on the payment.
The doc/DMV fee looks right.
They didn't mention the $895 acquisition fee

If their number is way over that, then they are marking up the rate (likely), or padding the sale price they quoted (possible), or both.
