Dash & back lights flicker on & off

I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe that everytime I turn my lights on the dashlights & back lights flicker on and off. I have to hold the headlight switch to keep them on. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what do I need ro do to fix the isaue?

    Certainly sounds like the switch contacts are corroded or loose in there, or the switch itself is just plain worn out--it has been 18 years after all.

    If you can correct the problem with some pressure on the switch, that tells you something.
