I dint know what could of happened. All a sudden i pulls into the Sonic driveway to get some food and car is not in gear Macon grinding noise had to push car in parking space

    I'm trying to back back out and put the car in reverse to see if the car would go into gear but soon as I took the car out of park is making this clanking grinding noise so I put it back in park

    I thought I might have been low on fluid transmission fluid that is because my car do has 227000 miles but even after I put the court of transmission fluid in the car and tried to move the car out of park into gear it still makes the grinding noise of the gears but not effectively shifting into gear

    I wonder if you broke an axle u-joint? Why don't you get under there and check?
