Rather than asking for lease numbers on a bunch of different models and trims, may I suggest you do some actual shopping, with test drives, to see what you like?

Shopping the deal rather than the car often results in a killer lease deal on a car you hate to drive.

Find what you like, then make the deal work for you.

I know that most people want to use this forum strictly for getting pertinent MF and RV numbers from the (very capable and responsive) moderators here, but I figured that I would pass on a bit of knowledge gained this past weekend while helping my parents get a new car.

We got quotes for a Subaru Forester Limited and Mazda CX-5 GT AWD that had MSRP values within $150 of each other. The dealers both reduced the sales price more or less equally, and those were within $350. Fees were also very comparable. The money factor for the Subaru was .00045 and the Mazda was .00160. This tiny numerical discrepancy was worth roughly $60/month.

I can't stress enough the importance of looking at the "affordability" of a manufacturers lease deals, as they vary widely!!

FWIW, they ended up buying an Outback 3.6R Limited for $386/mo. with $1,500 due at signing on a 36/10 lease. Money factor of that car was a paltry .0004, and that payment is as low as I have heard of for a car sticker at around $38k.

Based on this number and a 36/12 lease, what monthly should I be looking to pay?
I'm heading to the dealer tomorrow and want to try be as best equipped as possible.
I'll be putting 0 down. Credit is really good. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Just don't want to get there tomorrow and be overwhelmed

I did not get the adjusted cap cost. But what I think is throwing off my calculations is that in Maryland, sales tax is apparently calculated on the discounted price of the vehicle, which then is included in calculations for Adjusted Cap Cost.

So, MSRP is still $34,065, but there is a 6% tax on the Discounted Price of $31,413 that they gave me. Fees are around $1045, and incentives are at $980. Monthly payment ends up being more around $420, which is still high just for a CX-5.

I guess leasing in Maryland just sucks.

Yep, I wouldn't lease in MD for exactly that reason.

You're paying 100% of the tax for 38% of the car.

Could I please get MF & residual for 2019 CX-5 AWD GT Machine Gray 30mo/12k in 11752? Tier 1 credit. Also, MF & RV for the same car at 36mo/12k, and 39mo/12k?

For this car I was quoted:

$329/mo for 30mo/12k
$1997.00 tax/fee upfront

Adj Cap Cost $28800

Wouldn't give me MF or rent charge over the phone.
After doing some math, it seems the MF is way too high at 0.0022.

It does appear that it's been marked up.
.00050 is the maximum markup.

That is adding $25/mo. to the payment.
