    Its a excellent deal and best price below invoice this year @1648 below. Honda will be discounting heavily this year if they don't want to lose $ with fierce competition in its class . Last year Honda got away with it due to new model year / upgrades .

    See my earlier post. I was able to get (with some end-of-month negotiation) a 1.5T EX for $24,350 with an OTD price of $26,900 in Northern California. I believe this is about $1720 under invoice (after factoring in the $85 doc fee). Not sure how different the market is in Southern California, but hope this helps.

    See my earlier post. I was able to get (with some end-of-month negotiation) a 1.5T EX for $24,350 with an OTD price of $26,900 in Northern California.     It does, appreciate it!  I think I am in a similar boat.  I am getting online offers for around $24,867-$25,000 from several dealers so in thinking I could negotiate that down to something you got?

    What I did is show the dealers the best offer and sometimes they’ll beat it.  With that said you won’t get the best deal until you actually sit down with them and negotiate.  Just be mindful of the quotes you receive though because some quotes don’t include certain fees and also one quote I received included the military and college graduate discount (which I don’t qualify for either since you have to had graduated within the past two years I believe).   This is my third go around for the EX Honda accord.   I got the 2010 for around $23,500 in Sep 2010. My wife got the 2016 in July 2016 for pretty much the same price.  It ended up being a little under $26k out the door.  I am trying to get the same price for the 2019 but it may be a little early in the year to get that price.   I’ll keep you guys updated!

    I just got a quote for 2019 accord sport 1.5t cvt (MSRP 27,100) as:

    sales price: 23,991
    official fees: 446.75
    tax: 2,287.22
    OTD: 26,724.97

    And got a message with a OTD of 26,400, aiming to get me back to the dealership after I left. But I didn't return since I can still wait a little bit longer to make a purchase.

    Does anyone have comments on this offer? I am a rookie and have never bought a car before. I'll appreciate any suggestions!

    Personally think you can do better.  Here is a link for the pricing analysis on 2019 Honda Accords from Cargurus.  Of course variables like location, timing of purchase, accessories, etc. play a factor but it should give you a realistic range of what you should get the car for (before taxes and fees).  Good luck!

    What is the consensus on all the dealer adds that are packed into the cars as far as negotiations go? Just ignore them? Is the benchmark $1k under invoice taking them into account?

     I’m looking at a 19 Sport 1.5T in Phoenix Az and every single one is loaded with a $500 doc fee, window tint, door guards, wheel locks, trunk tray, paint protection, and Scotch guard.

    Just ignore the garbage, unless it's added as a line item on the actual deal (like the doc fee). Don't assign it any value at all.

    You aren't paying sticker price, anyway, right?

    Nope, not paying sticker price.  I’d like to be at the 22k mark like Car Gurus suggests, but I didn’t know if that took the garbage and crazy doc fees into account or not. Doesn’t hurt to start low.

    When I got my 2010 Accord Ex and I was there to negotiate my wife’s 2016 Ex we got them with a base price of low $23,000s and it ended up being a little or right at $26,000.  They aren’t worth the retail of $999 but they threw in the protection pack with both cars (wheel locks, trunk liner, lug nuts, mud flaps).  With that said I’m pretty sure the pricing analysis on csrgurus is quoted without taxes and fees.

I had initially wanted to get around $26k OTD, but ultimately ended up settling for $26,890 OTD as I didn't want to wait too much longer. (However, I did test drive a 2019 Sport 2.0 model at one point, and a dealer was really eager to sell me one and was offering $5,000 under MSRP base price if I bought the same day, but I walked out as it wasn't really the model I wanted.)

    Something doesn't make sense here about tax and DMV fees. I'm also located in San Francisco and am pretty sure the tax rate here for new vehicles is 8.5%, so the taxes should be something around $2,000 while DMV/registration fees should be about $300-400. (You can use this calculator to figure out the taxes + fees: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/wasapp/FeeCalculatorWeb/newVehicleForm.do)

    Sorry I totally forgot about the cash incentives.  We both did get $500 off each time.  But overall I thought it was an excellent deal (again, bought the 2010 in Sep. 2010 and my wife got her 2016 model in Jul. 2016).  Haven’t gone to the dealer yet in hope for the 2019 around that price.  But again will update you once I pull the trigger.

    Something doesn't make sense here about tax and DMV fees. I'm also located in San Francisco and am pretty sure the tax rate here for new vehicles is 8.5%, so the taxes should be something around $2,000 while DMV/registration fees should be about $300-400.     In my opinion I think you got a good deal considering that I got $500 off and being it’s only March right now.  And I have noticed that EXs are scarce at the dealerships here in Southern California too.  They are really pushing the LX and especially the Sports here.  I’ve asked for quotes on the EX model and got a quote for the Sports a few times lol.

    If your quote includes the $920 destination, your price is about $1500 below invoice before dealer doc fees. Looks like a good deal. What are the doc fees?

    Doc fees are $499. Seems like dealers around the valley charge $400 to $500 for doc fees.

    That doc fee is quite high although not as high as in Florida, where it can be close to $800. Once you have confirmed whether pricing includes the destination fee, I would suggest making your best deal the last two days of the month.

    @Chapachel - Is $28.4k the best quote you have received so far? How many dealers have you reached out to? The bigger your dealer pool the more likely you are to get competitive offers.

    Although the hybrid is not as discounted as the gas model, the end of the first quarter is fast approaching. Some dealers might be willing to play ball in order to meet their sales quota.

    I have an offer on a 2019 Honda accord for $23688 base, but then the total came out to $27700. Dealer fee was $900 and there was also a dealer package fee for $900. Seemed a bit excessive so I walked away. They matched my base price offer from another dealer that is a little farther away but it seems like they added it back in with the fees somewhere. The sticker price was $28K.

    I see a used 2018 with 9K miles on it listed at $23K as well. I was thinking I could talk them down to less than $20K and hopefully keep OTD price at $22K. It's been sitting on their lot for 2 months. Thoughts?

    I'm trying to get a game plan together for the end of the quarter next week.

    I've reached out to a few dealers and I have one quoting me 28k even but they are trying to add in a propack for $598 and tint for $499 to bring up the price to 29k.  I haven't seen a EX-L Hybrid going for less than 28k so I may jump on it as long as they remove the above charges. Don't want propack and can get aftermarket tint for much less.

    I have been doing research on what car to buy and so far the Accord is my favorite. I am looking at the 2019 LX model and today I requested a quote through edmunds and one dealer nearby gave me a total price of $19,984 (before fees but including destination fee). I also qualify for a $500 incentive that isn't included in this price.

    My question is if this price is as great as it sounds? Its cheaper then anything I have seen. I was planning to buy more towards the end of April so that I would have more time to research other options but now I am wondering how likely it is that they give me an offer this low next month? Could this be lower because its the end of the quarter? The $500 incentive also expires this month so I am not sure what kind of incentives are expected for next month. Thanks for any advice! I am in Northern California if that makes any difference.

    Good luck with that. If you can confirm that the 28k price includes the destination fee, tell the dealership you will buy the car TODAY (only if you are actually going to do that) without the propack and tint. If they will not budge, move onto another dealer. Are their doc fees also $500?

    My advice is to reach out to as many dealers as possible in your area. Just go to their website and request an online price quote. Are you set on the LX trim? If yes, make your best deal the last two days of the month. 

    Sometimes, a dealer might give you better pricing for a lot of reasons such as: a car has been sitting on the lot for a while or they are trying to meet their end of month quota. If you are not ready to pull the trigger this month, take your time and do your research. Have you test driven the car you want? No one knows what the incentives will be next month.

    Anyone have any pricing in the GA area for an Accord EX Hybrid. I've been reading in the forums and it seems like shooting for at least 1000 below invoice is the right spot (not to be eaten up by the doc fee). I did get a quote a few weeks back that look like this:

    Price: 27036
    Trade: 500
    Doc Fee: 598
    Tag Fee: 101
    GA Tax: 1923
    OTD: 29159

    Needless to say I wasn't too pleased with it since they were using my trade to cover my losses (2006 civic ex with 200k in good condition) so I'm thinking that is out of the question. Thoughts?

    I noticed that several dealers here in Southern California are listing Accord EX Hybrids and EXs at a lower price on cars.com

    Hybrids at $27900 and EXs at $26400.  I know the goal is to get it lower than this but the listing prices have gone down $1500 or so.  You think it's because the end of the month is approaching and also the first quarter sales?  I wonder how much further you would be able to talk them down out the door.  Also I heard because many americans didnt get tax returns it is affecting overall spending at this time.

    Just got a 2019 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 CVT for $23,400 OTD. I live in Northern Virginia and got it from Ourisman Honda if this helps anyone. Also got 2.34% loan from an FCU Afro 72months. 

    i didn’t care about the MSRP just was negotiating the price on OTD price at every dealer. As this is. R true car I will be paying. 

    I took Undercar rubber protection and Teflonfor an additional $500 baked in to loan. (Didn’t plan for this but it so happened that they accepted my ridiculous low offer)

    Test drove the 19 EX-L Accord Hybrid and liked it. They quoted me 32k OTD and got rid of the propack but kept the $500 tint add-on. I told them I wasn't buying anything today but wouldn't pay more than 31k OTD. They said they couldn't do it. GM left me a voicemail 30min after I left the dealer offering me 31.5OTD through the weekend. 

    This includes $500 doc fee (average in the PHX are unfortunately). 

    So close so may go ahead but not this weekend. I know the same deal or better is waiting for me next week.

    Can you post the sale price of the car before any fees (and bedore incentives) to help others who are looking to purchase the same model?

    Don't blink yet. Wait till the last two days of the month to make your best deal.
    So what is the actual price of the car before any accessories and fees? $28k?

    Here in So Cal best Internet pricing is 

    2019 Accord Ex Hybrid = $27,185
    2019 Accord Ex = $25,189 

    This isn’t including the fees and taxes.   What do you think I can get that down to?   Again me and my wife got our EX accords (2010 and 2016) for around $23,500 which was about $26,000 out the door.

    I received a final offer from the dealer.

    $27,999 +TTL (includes destination)

    However I am planning on trading in my 2010 Mazda 3 with 59k miles (has a lot of dings, dents, scratches, windshield damage etc for $3555 (maybe I could get $5500 to $6000 privately but would have to out a few hundred into it to clean it up and I don't want to deal with trying to sell it privately)

    So this is the breakdown with the trade:

    Is this a smoking deal to jump on or no? Doc fees in the Phoenix area are $400 to $500 and the lieu Tax I believe is the first year of registration for the vehie in AZ. The public safety fee is some new fee the state imposed at the new year to help rebuild roads or whatever. 

    The tint is ridiculous but they will not remove it. They did remove the propack as I mentioned in an earlier post.

    Thanks for the advice! I am going for a test drive today and if everything goes well I will negotiate with all of the dealers in the area and look to buy next weekend. For a 2019, the LX trim is the only one in the price range I am looking to spend. I could afford the EX but it is a little higher then I want and most of the extra features aren't really needed for me personally. I have done a good amount of research on the accord but not as much on similar cars because the accord has been my favorite from the start. Thanks, I wasn't sure if the incentives had a trend from past years or anything so thats another reason why it might be better to buy this month with getting $500 off. Do you have any thoughts on what I should aim for on the OTD price? This is my first car purchase after years of driving old cars passed down from family so I am a little unsure how much to expect any fees to be besides tax. I am probably going to email the dealers asking for OTD price and go from there. Thanks again!
