Also, I looked at a Kona the other day and when the dealer wrote me up an offer I asked about the lease cash. He seemed surprised and then hemmed and hawed about the discounts I was getting. Is lease cash a given, do you always needs to ask, do you get it despite other incentives, does it change month to month? Thanks for the info

I'm pretty sure that the lease deal on paper will show the incentives as a rebate/CAP reduction, so they can't hide it forever. That doesn't mean that they won't try to characterize it as a big discount from them.

So, you'll get the lease cash, but it might already be included in the price they quote. Like any car deal, you need to have all of the details, and take nothing for granted.

We don't calculate the residual. The bank sets the residual percentage (which is a percentage of MSRP).

I'm in 63109, FICO is over 800, and would like the MF, RV, and incentives for the following 2019 Tucson trims (see note at the end re: loyalty).

Sport FWD and AWD
Limited FWD and AWD
Ultimate FWD and AWD

If it is too much of a hassle to get all numbers, just focus on the Limited FWD and AWD. On the other hand, if it is readily available, let's see numbers on SEL and SE as well. FWD and AWD.

Regarding the $500 loyalty coupon promotion... My lease ends on 5/27 on my 2016 Sonata SE. Do I qualify for the additional $500 loyalty coupon since technically, HMF is the "registered owner"?

Already asking for six trims... Why don't you do some shopping, and figure out what you want? The numbers don't vary that much, between trims. Also, you don't know if you want AWD or FWD?

What I want is Limited FWD, but that seems to be a needle in a haystack. Even the Limited AWD can be hard to find, but I would like to have numbers going in for the various options. I will probably not find a FWD that isn't loaded with addons (I have a first aid kit and I don't like pinstripes), so I figured I should get numbers on the AWD as well.

If you could throw out the numbers for 36/10 on the Limited FWD and Limited AWD, I would be forever grateful. ZIP, again, is 63109.

So I have two questions. One based off of buying and the other based off of leasing. First, buying. I am looking at the 2019 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate AWD. As you can see in the link the MSRP is, with added features and freight & handling, $34,630. When I spoke to the salesman he first quoted the car at $30,600, which are is the $4000 in discounts, but then I he took off another $600 to make the final price $30k.

Now, the Edmunds TMV has the price at $30,611. Is the $30k in zip 16148 a good deal? Or, when looking at a good deal, do ignore the rebates since everybody gets them and I should ask to get more off of the car? If so how much more off? I'm not nervous to ask more off. I asked for $3,000 more off yesterday and they said they couldn't budge off that $30k, but should I keep asking for more or am I just wasting my time?

Secondly, for leasing how would I determine a good deal for a leasing contract for the same car? The starting point is $308/mo for 36 months for 10,000 miles. I need 12,000 miles. They said it could go up to $330/mo. I'm looking for around $275. Any suggestions on how to approach this if I decide the leasing route?

Leasing first:
To go from 10K/yr to 12K/yr reduces the residual by 1%.
That would add $346 to your costs.. Or about $10/mo.
