Thanks, I am living in TN right now but I am moving to GA in a couple of weeks. So, I was wondering if it would be better to lease a new car over there.

Thanks, I am living in TN right now but I am moving to GA in a couple of weeks. So, I was wondering if it would be better to lease a new car over there.

Let's plug in some mythical numbers and see what we get.

Assuming an MSRP of $23K, and a net cap cost of $21K, the pre-tax payment in each state:
TN - $254/mo
GA - $236/mo

In GA, you pay tax on the sum of the payments, up front. TN taxes the monthly payment.

You'll also need to do some research on dealer fees and state fees, to see if there is an advantage to one state or the other.

Also, what is Toyota's Lease Acquisition Fee and is it the same across all Toyota Leases for any model?

Same MF, and residual is 2% higher than for 36 months.

TFS acquisition fee is $650, and is the same regardless of model.

My dealer said the sales price for LE is non-negotiable for leases, the MSRP is at $21,800. The edmunds leasing guide says the selling price is negotiable? What would be a good MSRP to ask?
