Thanks. A dealership in Spring Valley, NJ is claiming RV (June) for M240i is 52% not 53% on a 36/12k...is this correct? I can't get Edmunds TMV for a 2020 M240i yet so I haven't negotiated a price with them. I can't really find pricing for the 2020 anywhere yet including Truecar. It seems their offer is the same as on the BMW website. Looking for a decent deal on the following build:

2020 M240i (Long Beach Blue $550, Coral Red Dakota Leather $1,450, Heated front seats $500, Heated steering wheel $190)
- Destination & Handling $995
- Total MSRP $49,485

MF- .00165
Zip 10703

What's the monthly I'm looking at with everything rolled in (including taxes). Thanks for the help!

Total msrp of $49,485
Lease: 36/12k
RV: 52% (so they claim)
MF: .00165

Monthly with everything rolled in (including taxes) - $679, $1,200 due at signing

I didn't officially negotiate a selling price yet but it seems their initial offer puts the net cap cost at about $44,500 right? Thanks again

You should always negotiate the selling price, and understand everything that goes into the dealer offer.

I get a cap cost closer to $46K to get that payment.

Alternate information does show 52% for 36/12 on the M240i

Yes, absolutely...I will be negotiating the selling price soon. I'm waiting on edmunds TMV or some Truecar prices for starting points. I asked for a screen shot of the lease worksheet for their initial offer to see the net cap cost and details of the lease. Waiting on their response. Appreciate the help

In NY, we actually recommend not adding the tax to the cap cost, as you'll pay tax on it a second time. But, the acquisition and doc fees, yes, add those into the payment.

10K add 1% to the residual, so about $10-15/mo less on the payment.

Quote looks to be about right.

If you're comfortable with the pre-incentive discount from sticker, I don't see anything wrong. Base MF, no egregious fees.

Many thanks for the timely responses. I'm assuming the "Discount" of $2,315 listed in the lease worksheet that I attached is their selling price offer off of MSRP ($49,485). So if I decided to purchase the car instead of leasing it they are offering a price of $47,170 (prior to any negotiating)? Then for the lease the "rebate" takes off another $4,500?

Could I really do any better in negotiating the selling price? When I look up Edmunds TMV for a 2019 M240i (2020 pricing isn't available yet) the TMV currently is only about $948 below MSRP (2019 M240i MSRP $49,485 - Edmunds TMV $48,537 = $948 discount).

Yes, $2315 looks like the discount they are offering. That is a little less than 5%. Typically, you could do better than that with some negotiation, but prices might still be a little stiff on a 2020 model.

But, if you decide to buy it, you should definitely attempt to negotiate a lower price.
Of course, you won't have the $925 acquisition fee if you purchase.

May I suggest that you do some shopping and test drives to narrow down the cars you are interested in, then request numbers?

If you're trying to shop a deal, I've learned that doesn't always work, as lots of folks select cars that they are unhappy with.

My current situation is a bit different now, that is why I have a range of selection from Corolla up to Nissan Armada. Depending how the numbers work out for me, I can opt for any of these cars. I would appreciate your help with these numbers.

We moderators simply do not have the bandwidth to answer questions from someone who's not entirely sure what they are looking for. We address upwards of 200-300 requests per day for numbers and when one person comes in and requests several dozen numbers all on their own, we have to prioritize where we focus our efforts.

When you request numbers from compact sedans to XL-sized SUV's, you have to admit it looks a bit suspicious.

Agreed! I now have narrowed down the list to only Civic Si, Sportage SX and BMW 430. I see good value in these vehicles, even though they all are in different classes. I do however have a general question. Judging by other posts, it appears that MF, Residual and incentives are different from state-to-state (and even city-to-city) for most manufactures. Obviously I will most likely end up negotiating further with only two or three of these dealers. Would it be acceptable to include these two or three zip-codes in one request?
